  Great game, rubbish microphones.

The game is fantastic, and your singing will definitely improve. But the microphones are rubbish (we are on our third set, and one of these only works because the cable is held in place with tape. We've been very careful with them, but they are of an extremely low quality. Be warned: normal microphones (even Sony ones) don't plug into the adapter either, so you're stuck with what Sony provides. Perhaps it is telling that copycat games on other consoles have wireless mikes...

Very disappointing.

Amazing , great game , will bring good times:)

As soon as this came out i went right down to my local shop to buy it , i had never had a singstar before but it was worth i got home and tested it out, it was good and the same night i had it my friends came round and we were all singing on it, it was good laugh's, you should also get the ps3 eye as it works perfectly with it.
Theres a good amount of songs but it's really good that you can download and buy songs and now there must be over 300 allready. I have bought serveral at £1 each.
The start screen is nice , then you select what you want , duet, battle , solo etc and then you can have 20 users registered to keep track and you select a song, it is standed quality. It sure is great fun, keep's you going for hours, me and my friends just want to keep on singing.
The downside is the microphone's are not that good at all, the sound abit distorted sometimes, they could of really done better there becuase you don't really get a fantastic recording but still it's worth it.

Great fun for all the family.

Something different for all the family. Bought this as a gift for the wife, who loved it. The game has sound effects that can be altered whilst in the playback mode. This feature is very funny. 8/10.

This was the first attempt on Sony's next gen console and was advertised as coming with silver wireless microphones and the ability to download the PS2 back catalogue from the online singstore. Neither have been true up to this point so my advice is wait a while before buying this. That said it is an enjoyble game for parties etc but the songs are limited at present so it has a short lifespan.

  it's average

this is just like another one in the singstar series, its getting a bit boring releasing lots of singstars, i thought this one would be different though because you can buy songs offline, but it works out at about the same price as buying another singstar game. each track is £1 :O

I am really disappointed that the game sent to me was not the one ordered with silver wireless microphones and could have saved myself £23 by ordering the disc only. Its not that easy to return these as the staff on the helpline were less than helpful and I received no apology for the wrong product being sent out. I still have not been refunded the £39.99 I paid for this.

That said this is a great game for parties even with the standard microphones

I really think Singstar is great value for money!....... 2 microphone and 30 songs (there's quite a good selection of different songs to pick from so there's got to be one that everyone will enjoy and be able to sing-a-long to)

If you lovee singing just buy Singstar!

i am a great fan of singstar, own all but one discs for the ps2, was v.excited about the fact it was soon to come to ps3. however i pre-ordered it (was that excited) and when i did it was going come with wireless mics, ps2 games were going to be compatible and all these song were to be stored in your ps3 store, as you had already purchased them and sing store would be 50p.
well guess what, 99p per song i can deal with, if there were any to choose from, mics are exactly the same as i already have, so could have simply bought the £17.99 version instead of paying £40 odd, and still not all ps2 discs are compatible and the songs are not stored so dont get ps3 advantages. rubbish really. very disappointed and have hardly used it, sticking to ps2 for now.

Excellent but not alot of song choice

This game is fantastic for a party or just having a laugh with your family/friends. The song choice isn't bad but theres not alot to pick from unless you want to pay for more songs. If your not scared to sing infront of friends and have a laugh buy this.
