Lets get one thing clear, I hate films that are based on video games.
Lets just cast our minds back, Streetfighter, Mortal Kombat, Dead or Alive, Doom and Pacman....
Ok I made that last one up, all these have one thing in common. Great games awful films.
However Resistance has such a gripping plot it could be a film....
Shortly after the second world war when humanity is at a weak point an seemly advance race begins to ravage across europe...
Rumours of experiments in russia are unconfimed and then the first american troops to come to England to fight this new threat get ambushed by tiny infecting creatures which take over a human body starting the process of "conversion". However one soldier is unharmed but starts to exibit alien abilities......You are that soldier.....Nathan Hail.
I love first person shooters and this has all the depth of the medel of honour rolled into one. Add cinematography which hollywood would be proud of and you have a cracking game.
The visuals are stunning (although this is the first HD shooter I have played) and the AI is first race. The beastly badies hide atr the right time and come after you when you least expect it.
A nice array of weapons which after you complete the game on easy and reply on medium expands until you play the game on hard where you get all the weapons.
If youy have a PS3 and like shooters, this is the one for you.
