Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War puts gamers in the role of a rogue commander and gives them direct control of mercenary units in fierce clashes with English and French forces. The games unique style of action thrusts players into dynamic and ever-changing conflicts. Players must adjust their strategies as skirmishes evolve, and then deploy the unit best-suited to handle the challenge. At a players command is a broad array of troops including infantry, archers, and cavalry, as well as a variety of specialized units such as elephant units, cannoniers, and castle siege specialists. While each unit is comprised of autonomous soldiers, each warrior will contribute to the assigned objective.

Free Mission System: Allows players to align their forces with either the French or English on a battle-by-battle basis. This unparalleled freedom allows players to take on different assignments, or simply experience a given battle from an opposing side.

Game progression: Game progression is wholly dependent on a players decisions and accomplishments on the battlefield. Players must establish a reputation as a dependable and capable leader by successfully completing each mission. The reputable commander will attract more desirable troops to his employ, and will be asked to take on weightier challenges that reflect his status as a fighter and leader of men. The troops themselves will also become more lethal as they gain combat experience. Through a point system, players can augment their units combat capabilities.

This game, for me at least, is amazing, probably the most addictive game I have played for years. It starts off as charachters from the hundred years war, but as you go on you unlock the wierdest troops to command, including Roman Phalanx troops. The gameplay can be linear if you just follow the story, however lots of scope to do other challenges and to build up your army and increase their skill points. Dont buy if you dont have much spare time though!

 Awesome....and thats just the demo!!

Just downloaded the demo of the PSN Store, and all i can say is wow

Its totally addictive. At first i wasnt sure how the game would work. As in theory its a great idea, but so often the best ideas for games flop when they are put into practice. This how ever is the real deal. If this is only a demo,i cant wait to see the finished game

Id highly recommend that you download the demo, its free, and give this amazing game a try. I will be pre-ordering my copy of this amazing game.

When i downloaded the demo from the Playstation Store, i didn't know what to expect. After playing it though, i was hooked. It's the only demo i've not deleted after playing! I'm constantly playing the demo, so the game is going to be as addictive as hell! Really good game, graphics, gameplay and the sounds of the immense battles are amazing. Lots of choice of units too, archers/cavalry/swords and shields/longswords...that's just the demo, i know for a fact that the real game is going to hold a lot more. Can't wait until November 2nd, it's going to be a great game. BUY IT!

I downloaded this from the PS3 store and it wasn't too bad.
It took a little while to understand what the point of it was but once i understood what i was meant to do i was totally addicted.
The voice acting is a big let down and is pretty poor the graphics are ok but not brilliant either.
I would buy this when its cheap but can live with the demo for the moment
