NBA 2K10

I am a huge bball fan and I have always prefered the 2k series to NBA live and this year NBA live has improved alot but still is no match for 2k in my eyes. 2K has really upped the bar this year. I really love the NBA TODAY mode where you can play the matches that are being played on that particular day with commentry that parallels the real NBA world with updated stats and records and the addition of the D-League adds more depth to association mode. Overall I would recommend this game to any NBA fan or anyone who is interested in buying a basketball game.

This is a serious simulation game!

None of the reviews i read mentioned how difficult the game is for NBA newcomers. Im sure if you know a lot about basketball this is a great game but if not its really hard to get into.

If you dont know your "Double high" from your "Four lines" you're probably going to struggle!

The instruction booklet is 'limited' to say the least. I dont even know what 1/2 the icons on screen are for

This is best sports game i've played in my life. It has amazing graphics, the controls are simple, the dunks, layups and even jumpshots look good. The faces of the crowd could be better, but from distance they look good enough. What I really love about this game is the My Player mode. The idea of use my caracter during a whole career is good, but the system they used with grades is really great. The only problem is when I call for a pass once and they say I ask too much for the ball, but I can live with that.
It's the best sports game in the market. If you have doubts about buying it, don't think, just click the buy button :P

This game is amazing, the graphics, the game play, the controls! the new my player mode!! its a must buy for any basketball fan.

Last year i had NBA Live, and enjoyed it in the majority. This year i decided to have a look in detail at the reviews/previews/demos of the two games against each other before i made a decision.

I decided to go with 2K for the first time and ive not been disappointed so far, controls are difficult to get used to (having played nba live for years) but once you get them down they are nice and smooth. Gameplay, graphics and in-game comentary/effects are really really good.

I would certainly advise people to choose this over nba live. Only gave it 4 stars as some of the menu's are difficult to navigate and a tad sloppy in presentation.
