Having never played the original Ninja Gaiden Black on XBox, or even the first Sigma game on PS3, I took the plunge and bought this revamped and pumped up version of Ninja Gaiden 2 on PS3 after playing the addictive demo on PSN.
This version is considered the best version of Ninja Gaiden in the series, despite the omission of the blood and gore that was present on the 360 version.
And I can honestly say the game makes you feel like a Ninja God most of the time, utilising your speed, skill, precise timing and chaining combos of moves to create this orgy of violence and destruction. Once you master the art of killing 10 or more enemies at the same time without getting hit, and getting 50-100 hit combos, the game feels like ninja nirvana.

The graphics and sound are uniformly excellent, and the simple but deep fighting system of block, jump, counter and slash have never been better. With 18 Chapters to complete and some spectacular boss battles, and the addition of online and one player offline team missions mode, it's definately worth buying at £29.99. Although if you want a real challenge, complete it on Master Ninja level!
