This game is a must have for any PS3 owner, the game is one of the best I have played for the play-station. And still to this day I am playing the game to death. The game is very hard to find, but I managed to get 4 copy's. the graphics on this game are dazzling and so colourful, the story is amazing and the gameplay is the best it makes full use of the six-axsis when capturing fantasy creatures.
If you get this game you will not regret it

A beautiful game with enjoyable and unusual gameplay.A game with style and beauty for those that know to appreciate it.Not for everyone but special for those that seek fairytale and mystery mixed together with amazing and magic locations.

Beautifully designed but there's not much else to this

Japan Studio seem to emphasize on the art direction of their titles. Genji: Days of the Blade is another example of this. Although their games look absolutely fantastic, it doesn't make up for their shortcomings, unfortunately. Folklore is an action RPG, kind of a detective story set in the fictional Irish island village of Doolin. You can choose either Ellen or Keats or take turns playing with each character. Ellen is looking for her mother in Doolin, whereas Keats is an investigative journalist of the paranormal. The quests in Folklore will have you alternating between the real world and the netherworld. Gameplay is similar to the Xbox 360's Kameo: Elements of Power, although somewhat more simplified. Albeit, there are far more creatures to assign to your action buttons in Folklore than there are in Kameo. Recommended if you're into faeries, goblins and stuff. Not recommended if you dislike awful, stereotypical Irish accents. What baffles me is that they could only find two decent voice actors to play Irish people. Why does everyone else sound like they're english in this game?

This surely is a good title,if you like action-rpg games but...it loses appeal going on with the game,in my opinion. As it has great impact, with beautiful scenarios,i think it loses some of this impact going on with the game,as it also becomes a bit repetitive...

  Strange and Beautiful

The story is very strange, but, in a way that will leave you wanting to know more.

Very good and you can't go wrong for £20.

  What A Beautiful Game

The Graphics are just out of this world but the scenario's and landscapes' are just beautiful. Some people o this have moaned about the comic strip bits but i like it. doesn't bother me about having to do the same level with the two characters either as you have to do different things and have different and have to battle different folks! Great Game!

  A good Next Gen RPG!

I remember playing the demo for this ages ago and i enjoyed so I decided to just get it!

I was also playing Hotel Dusk at the time and this really got my "Murder Mystery Juices" flowing! The story is compelling and you genuinely want to know what's going to happen next. It's also interesting to play the game from the two different perspectives of Keats and Ellen, you see the same events, but in totally different ways, and you'll start to develop your own views on characters and goings on in the story.

The battle system, although extrememly repetitive at times, has its little quirks. It reminds me alot of...well...Pokemon. You know, walking around bumping into all sorts of crazy critters and capturing them, and then doing the usual leveling up process. And the boss battles remind me of the Zelda bosses, where you have to come up with a certain strategy to take them down. All in all, its a good RPG for your PS3 collection.
