PS3 Slim Console
The internal design architecture of the PS3 Slim, from the main semiconductors and power supply unit to the cooling mechanism, has been completely redesigned, achieving a much slimmer and lighter body. Compared to the very first PS3 model with 60GB HDD, the internal volume as well as its thickness and weight are trimmed down to approximately two-thirds.

Furthermore, power consumption is also cut to two-thirds, helping to reduce fan noise. While inheriting the sleek curved body design of the original model, the form factor of the PS3 Slim features a new meticulous design with textured surface finish, giving an all-new impression and a casual look.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Leading up to the events in the X-Men film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) epically violent past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

Batman: The Dark Knight
Following on from Batman Begins, director Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale reunite for The Dark Knight. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and newly appointed District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.

PS3 system software update version 3.00

  • The updated system software adds various user-friendly features such as the "What's New" screen, where users can quickly browse the new items available in PlayStation Store as well as their recently played games directly on the XMB (XrossMediaBar), with shortcuts to each piece of content. PS3 will evolve continuously with the system software updates, further improving the operability and enhancing the user experience available through the network. PS3 owners will be able to enjoy new features by simply updating the PS3 system software to version 3.00 via the "System Update" function on the XMB.

    • BRAVIA Sync feature

    • The PS3 Slim is also equipped with the BRAVIA Sync feature. By connecting the PS3 Slim and a BRAVIA TV with the HDMI cable, users are able to directly operate the XMB on PS3 using the TV remote control. Other functions include "System Standby" that will automatically turn off the PS3 when the BRAVIA TV is turned off.

    Vertical Stand for PS3 Slim (CECH-2000 series)

    • By utilising the Vertical Stand (sold separately), users will be able to set the PS3 Slim in vertical position, making it easier to place the PS3 anywhere at home.

    I've been after one of these for ages but couldn't justify spending the money on one as I'd just been made redundant. However, I saw this bundle and couldn't resist! Really good price for what you get and it's a lovely looking machine. I prefer it to the original PS3. Easy to set up and works like a dream. If you're after a PS3 for a christmas present or a treat for yourself I'd recommend this package. Both the DVD's are brilliant plus you get the blu-ray controller. Just remember to buy an HDMI cable before you set it up!

    I recently got this as an 18th birthday present. And what a deal! The films are excellent and look absolutely fantastic through the new ps3. I've been playing the ps3 through a 40" samsung series 4 tv and the results are truly eye popping. Very, very pleased with play's offer.

    Best priced console for the 250GB slim version! Couldn't find this cheaper anywhere else, and with 2 blu ray films and the official sony remote control you cant go wrong.
