As a fan of the POP franchise I was let down by the game with time we progress but after many games forgotten sands has not

I remember buying Sands of time on PS2 and within the first 5 minutes I was not impressed...I turned it off and never touched the CD again (still lying around somewhere in the store room) BUT forgotten sands....I must say...probably the only game that has got me hooked onto my system for hours, after Call of Duty. I ordered this game for a tenner only and as soon as it came through the post I slipped it into the PS3 and found myself playing it for over 4 hours! I was so amazed and impressed by it. I have never looked forward to playing a game like this since my SEGA MEGA DRIVE!!! I hardly ever spend more than 2 hours on my PS3 but Sands of Time has transformed this. I wish I appreciated and played the sequels. The only reason why I gave it only 4 stars is because I agree with the others....the fighting is a bit too easy although the stunts are great! I'm not a hardcore gamer so for me the game wasn't short, I came across a few challenges as well. For this price...buy it!!!!!

  Fun but lacking

Visuals and environment and use of powers is fun. However all aspects of combat is hack and slash button mash with the powers to aid you being rather lackluster. It makes me miss the simply but interesting parrying style of the prequels. It was a toss up between the new one or the remastered set of all three ps2 classics. Can't help but feel i made the wrong choice.

  Surprisingly amazing!

I played this game not expecting much due to the okayish reviews which it had received. However the game is classic platforming at its best. It must be said that the game has outstanding visuals and, in my opinion, is just bettered by the sands of time game which is a classic.

However, do not be mistaken this, I am sure, will grow to be a cult classic due to its wonderful story and gameplay.

For 10 pounds it is a steal!

Only downside is that the swordfighting is a bit simple but, for me, it had the best fighting system I have seen in a prince of persia game.

Buy it, Love it!

  Good but....

The game is good overall, it has good visuals, good audio, good gameplay particularly the adventure and puzzle solving but the fighting system is too weak and limited, and therefore can be quite repetitive. It's strange to have a Prince of Persia with a weaker fighting system than its predecessors..but worth a try for fans!

In this game you play as the original prince of Persia which in my eyes is good, on the other hand the game has many good points and few bad. The good points, this game looks and feels very good to play the environments you play in are very good, from Arabian nights settings to beautiful dream like states also the platforming is some of the best iv'e ever seen. The bad points, the combat in this game let it down I wasn't overly impressed with that, the story wasn't as good as expected but, all in all it's a really good game; You have enough gamplay and enjoyment to pull you through to the end

Smacks of laziness and looks like it was purely released just to coincide with the movie. Its exactly the same as POP-sands of time (PS2) with bits added in.
They should have carried on from the new POP(PS3), it was a much better game and a rejuvenation of the franchise.
If you played Sands of Time on PS2 dont bother wasting your money.
