PS3 Slim Console
The internal design architecture of the PS3 Slim, from the main semiconductors and power supply unit to the cooling mechanism, has been completely redesigned, achieving a much slimmer and lighter body. Compared to the very first PS3 model with 60GB HDD, the internal volume as well as its thickness and weight are trimmed down to approximately two-thirds.

Furthermore, power consumption is also cut to two-thirds, helping to reduce fan noise. While inheriting the sleek curved body design of the original model, the form factor of the PS3 Slim features a new meticulous design with textured surface finish, giving an all-new impression and a casual look.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Fortune hunter Nathan Drake returns in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, a pulse-pounding third-person action-adventure/shooter created by award-winning developer Naughty Dog and exclusive to PlayStation 3.

Down on his luck, Drake is lured back into the treacherous world of thieves and mercenary treasure-seekers he had sought to leave behind. When a mysterious artifact propels Drake on an expedition to find the legendary Himalayan valley of Shambhala, he finds himself embroiled in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse against a fugitive war criminal who's after more than just the fabled riches of the lost city.

Caught in a web of deception and plunged into an increasingly deadly pursuit that tests the limits of his endurance, Drake will be forced to risk everything - but has his luck finally run out?

PS3 system software update version 3.00

  • The updated system software adds various user-friendly features such as the "What's New" screen, where users can quickly browse the new items available in PlayStation Store as well as their recently played games directly on the XMB (XrossMediaBar), with shortcuts to each piece of content. PS3 will evolve continuously with the system software updates, further improving the operability and enhancing the user experience available through the network. PS3 owners will be able to enjoy new features by simply updating the PS3 system software to version 3.00 via the "System Update" function on the XMB.

    • BRAVIA Sync feature

    • The PS3 Slim is also equipped with the BRAVIA Sync feature. By connecting the PS3 Slim and a BRAVIA TV with the HDMI cable, users are able to directly operate the XMB on PS3 using the TV remote control. Other functions include "System Standby" that will automatically turn off the PS3 when the BRAVIA TV is turned off.

    • By utilising the Vertical Stand (sold separately), users will be able to set the PS3 Slim in vertical position, making it easier to place the PS3 anywhere at home.

    The PS3 is the best thing since sliced bread. Instead of buying separate games console and blu ray player just buy this, don't be a loser and buy both. With the huge hard drive you can also put all of your music on this thing and just let it play on random.
    As a games console it rocks. the graphics are smooth and game play unbelievably quick. far superior to the 360. playstation network is also free unlike the microsoft equivalent which you have to subscribe to. love it

    I bought this for my boyfriend for christmas. He loves it.....never off it (which is a bonus haha) but would deffo recommend!!!

    Decided to upgrade my old ps3 40gb for this new model and very impressed!! Arrived today via recorded delivery however no game in the ps3 box so hoping it gets delivered individually....although play are very good with sales and i presume it will arrive. Would really advise people to upgrade and purchase this.

    i bought this package for my son(honest)when it was first released last year,its great,great game aswell,great blu ray player,but less than 6 months later its had the yellow ring of death,and now doesnt work at all.i will be ringing playstation tomoorw to see what happens next.everyone should be aware of this.
