The internal design architecture of the PS3 Slim, from the main semiconductors and power supply unit to the cooling mechanism, has been completely redesigned, achieving a much slimmer and lighter body. Compared to the very first PS3 model with 60GB HDD, the internal volume as well as its thickness and weight are trimmed down to approximately two-thirds.

PS3 system software update version 3.00

  • The updated system software adds various user-friendly features such as the "What's New" screen, where users can quickly browse the new items available in PlayStation Store as well as their recently played games directly on the XMB (XrossMediaBar), with shortcuts to each piece of content. PS3 will evolve continuously with the system software updates, further improving the operability and enhancing the user experience available through the network. PS3 owners will be able to enjoy new features by simply updating the PS3 system software to version 3.00 via the "System Update" function on the XMB.

BRAVIA Sync feature

  • The PS3 Slim is also equipped with the BRAVIA Sync feature. By connecting the PS3 Slim and a BRAVIA TV with the HDMI cable, users are able to directly operate the XMB on PS3 using the TV remote control. Other functions include "System Standby" that will automatically turn off the PS3 when the BRAVIA TV is turned off.

PS3 is the best multi-media player and should be in every home. What more can you ask for? Blu-rays, music, CD/DVD's, video games, movie rentals, TV and , more!
Blu-ray is epic and unlike xbox 360 you can save all your media onto the console via DVD/CD, USB.

Just a notice to all readers reading the PS3 slim specs, the power consumption part is wrong. The PS3 uses around 100w not 250w.

very good deal with 2 games,250gb..a did have a 40gb and was struggling as i own like 26games and installing them i had to delete 1 or 2 just to play the others..now a can sit happily.not worrying about space,i sold my 40gb and it cut the price down,but still put 100odd towards but in the long run i see it worth it! just got new tv and ps3 to play it on.bc2 ordered aswell..cant wait!
recommened deal,2 of the top games out.

Bought this a few months back. Had to wait a few weeks for it to come through. Worthit! Been wasting away the weekend playing it. Great graphics. Great extras. I love my PS3 :), never felt this way about my old Xbox
