So... you want to be a fighter? UFC 2010: Undisputed is the only mixed martial arts videogame that delivers the action, intensity and prestige of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Step into the Octagon to experience the most advanced and commanding virtual MMA action with more than 100 of the best UFC fighters in the world. Experience intelligent and intuitive combat, increased fighter customisation, robust career progression, challenging new gameplay modes and explosive online offerings. UFC 2010: Undisputed embodies the ultimate essence and supremacy of a UFC fighter. Ready to be one?

Ultimate Fights Mode

Ultimate Fights Mode is the evolution of UFC 2009's Classic Fights Mode and allows players to relive some of the more memorable fights in UFC history. Players are given the opportunity to play the mode as a single player experience in an attempt to unlock content associated with each fight. Players can also play the mode as a two-player experience, squaring off against friends with special presentation and commentary elements.

Each fight opens with an introduction from one of the UFC Octagon Girls, Arianny Celeste or Chandella Powell, who break down the significance of each fight. Following the introduction, a pre-fight montage is played with comments from each fighter and a brief history on how the fight came to fruition. Once the prefight montage is over, the basic match flow occurs and gameplay begins.

The main difference between Classic Fights from last year and the Ultimate Fights for UFC Undisputed 2010 is the introduction of Fight Categories and Multiple Challenges for each fight. Assigning each fight to a category helps structure the mode and allows players to easily identify each type of fight, while the introduction of Multiple Challenges for each fight adds replayability to the mode.

Another new component is the ability to "play as the spoiler" (or the fighter who lost in real life) and provide additional challenges and unlocks associated with the losing fighter, where players look to "rewrite history".

Upon completing all the challenges, the player unlocks the ultimate reward - a montage that recaps the actual Ultimate Fight itself.

UFC Undisputed 2010 on the Playstation 3 will offer players 20 Ultimate Fights - with 5 Ultimate Fights exclusive to the platform. The Sony-exclusive Ultimate Fights list is as follows:

Ultimate 2009 Category
UFN 18 - Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann

Ultimate Knockouts Category
UFC 102 - Nate Marquardt vs. Demian Maia

Ultimate Classics Category
UFC 60 - Matt Hughes vs. Royce Gracie
UFC 66 - Keith Jardine vs. Forrest Griffin

Ultimate Submissions Category
UFC 68 - Martin Kampmann vs. Drew McFredries

 Awesome!

After being blown away by the first one I was optimistic about THQ's latest UFC update and it's safe to say that it's as good as ever!

I've played the demo extensively and the knock outs are less random than last year, but still retain that "out-of-nowhere" feel when you floor someone. The fighter models are ridiculously realistic and the facial animation is fantastically expressive even as the fight goes on. It's not a massive overhaul of last years version, but it has a few new features, such as a referee intervention when a fighter has a bad cut and some pre match visuals to add to the authenticity.

There seem to a wealth of options to toy with this time around such as tournament, title and title defense mode compared to the pretty limited array of options from 2009 and I've heard the career mode is more varied and less repetitive too.

If you're a big UFC fan (like me) this is a must have, but even if you're not, this is fight sim is way more exciting to play than EA's Fight Night!

Buy It! :-)

 Demo = Greatness

When I played the demo visualy it was a bit different the gameplays faster and it sticks to the ufc's slogan because this game is as real as it gets, if some people put the difficulty level up to advance (the least) you will see the the cpu will ajust themselves to your fighting style.

The thing im looking forward to the most is creating m own fight camp and the career mode this ufc gets 5/5 from me.

 Better the 2009

This is alot better then the last and even tho its not the easiest game out its far from as hard as the other reviewer says about getting out of submissions, maybe an old super nes game might be more on his level LOL

 Quality

Sounds like Doomlord73 needs to try playing the game on a harder difficulty. Sure, it's easy if you play on easy. It's harder if you play on hard. The difficulty levels actually correspond to the level of difficulty!!!

This is a great improvement on last year's Undisputed. More submissions, more ways to strike, more takedowns, more transitions... an all round better game.

 Bit of a letdown!!!

Im a massive fan of ufc and loved the old game but i think 2010 is a bit of a joke. The submissions are impossible to attempt and to escape. Online is very jumpy and glitchy and apparantly wont be fixed for some time, the main reason i bought the game.

On the plus side graphics are great and so is variaty of fighters. This is a definate trade in.
