In Enslaved you take on the role of Monkey a strong, brutish loner who has been captured on a mysterious slave ship 150 years into the future. War and destruction have left the world in ruins and you are one of only a few humans left. On the slave ship you encounter Trip - a beautiful, tech-savvy young woman who is also at the mercy of her captors.

Trip is anxious to escape so she can make her way back home, but she knows she can't do it alone. She has the brains, but not the brawn - you, as Monkey are her ticket to freedom. You soon become Enslaved by Trip - bonded together by a slave headband. If you stray, you will be paralyzed by excruciating pain. If your stay, your fate is in her hands. In both cases, your freedom is no longer your own...

Character Bios:

Monkey - Andy Serkis
Based on the legend of Monkey, this acrobatic powerhouse is capable of devastating enemies with a mixture of close range attacks and plasma or stun blasts with his telescopic staff. His cloud device allows him to navigate over difficult terrain.

Trip - Lindsey Shaw
The tech-savvy Trip can re-purpose technology to help Monkey traverse perilous landscapes. She can cause distractions, scan enemies and areas and also upgrade Monkey's abilities.

Pigsy - Richard Ridings
A family friend of Trip's, Pigsy has an unhealthy obsession with women. He's an expert at salvage and a mechanical genius and his jealousy of Monkey and Trip produces some comedic banter.

The Mechs
Dormant mechs are scattered throughout a battered world, remnants of a war fought over a hundred years ago. These mechanical monstrosities vary in size and purpose from the easily dispatched models Monkey encounters early in the game to colossal, animatronic behemoths which require the player to consider strategically before engaging.

  • A cinematic masterpiece: Featuring dramatic cutscenes co-directed by Andy Serkis, (Lord of the Rings, King Kong) who also plays the lead role of Monkey, portraying critical events that drive the story of Monkey and Trip
  • Stunning environments: Explore a beautiful, eerie world of war-ravaged cityscapes that have been reclaimed by nature and are fraught with danger at every turn
  • Tactical gameplay: Think on your feet! Survey the environment, work together with Trip and choose your path to battle through the perilous environmental and deadly enemy obstacles that await
  • Engaging storyline: Play through an original story co-written by famed novelist and screenwriter, Alex Garland, (The Beach, 28 Days Later) - loosely inspired by the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West," experience the evolving relationship between Monkey and Trip through their plight for survival
  • Dynamic combat system: Attack and defend with agile prowess using a combination of melee attacks, blocks and intense takedowns which allow Monkey to overtake an enemy to steal its weapon for his own use, rip the enemy apart piece by piece or destroy it in one satisfying final blow

40 quid? It's 35 everywhere else, sort it out Play.com! You we're the best at one point, most websites are cheaper these days and your deliveries take longer than ever! Too expensive this.

 Brilliant... a hidden gem

Just completed this game after picking it up n the cheap and absolutely loved every minute of playing it. The graphics are vibrant and bright with fantastic vistas and draw distances, the views from some of the taller structures are incredible and make the game an absolute plesure to play, the storyline is probably the best I have witnessed on a games console, both exciting and emotional, the characterisations are superb, interplay between characters as good as most movies. This had me hooked from beginning to end and I'm so glad I played it. But more importantly is really is great fun to play... here's hoping a sequel is in the pipeline... I cannot recommend highly enough...

One of the best games this generation.

I absolutely loved every minute of this game down to the story, graphics, character development, etc.
The combat is a bit shallow with your basic light and heavy attack, evade, block, etc, but it doesn't damage the game and works well for how basic it is.
The story is one of the most original and thought provoking ones I have experienced and I've gone through the game twice and earned the platinum trophy within 5-6 days and loved almost every minute of it! (With exception to collecting some of the tech orbs.)
I would recommend this game to most people but if you didn't like Uncharted then you may not like this as you can see the similarities quite clearly, although they are not similar enough to call Enslaved a rip-off.
Absolutely fantastic game which has been overlooked and hasn't got the attention that it truly deserves.

 different and amazing

1st off i will say the last guy who said he downloaded on both xbox and PS3 and said xbox is better is totally wrong. the PS3 version clearly has better lighting, filtering effects and added touches the xbox version doesnt. the xbox version suffers from frame issues, lacks a flow the PS3 version does and u can tell the cut scenes r compressed video whereas the PS3 ones r in realtime. but back to the game its amazing, heavenly sword was a top game and this one is carrying on its good work. incredible recreation of humans like no other games, real emotion in their faces and expressions. u can tell its gonna b a amazing story and game taht drags u in. prob wont sell well thou and only to the people who know of it which is huge shame :(

 !awsome!
