Trinity Universe combines the characters of the Disgaea and Atelier series together in an original world setting. Players will take on the role of either a male main character or a female main character. Both of these characters have their own original story with many guest appearances. The game will be in full 3D with beautiful anime style artwork.

 Great Fun

Fans of NIS know what to expect. Its bright and cheerful.Great characters from other RPG devs.Gameplay is 3rd person.Combat is turn based and the battles are random. There are 2 characters to choose from which lets you view the story from 2 different perspectives. Its an old school rpg so if your a fan of older rpgs then this is a must.If your an anime fan you will love it.

One of the most dumb/irritating/slow games I've ever played.

The cover may look nice, but please don't let it fool you. Yes, the art is pretty and well animated, which is a nice change from stand-still images, but the rest is simply horrible. The unskippable info dump tutorial alone is a killer, and if the cheery music will not irritate you straight away, I can almost guarantee that it will do so eventually. (I actually thought it was quite nice until it really began to get on my nerves.)

What drops my rating further are all the long and pointless dialogues that the game puts one through, and characters who have little to no real personality and who have yet to say anything remotely meaningful (not to talk about clever). And beware the mood swing galore that goes with it! Actually, even characters like Etna and Prinny seem somehow different compared to Disgaea series. Another thing that bothered me was the far-from-top-notch voice-acting for most of the characters. Fortunately, you can change to Japanese voices instead, although that does not change the fact that the lines and the story are nonsensial.

Gameplay itself is, well, slow. Sure you can speed up the battles a little, but even then it will take a good amount of patience to do a dungeon run. Walking around will remain slow. Overall, never would I compare this to an "old-school RPG" - all of which are probably less irritating and more worth your time. Could perhaps do for a first ever RPG, but even then there are plenty better ones out there.
