i've played every prince of persia game and everyone seemed fairly long in story mode, but the forgotten sands seemed just very short i completed the game in about 4-5 hours, but it is an amazing game with a gripping storyline worth the buy for a bored gamer, 4/5.
This game is very entertaining. The story mode is awsome due to its action packed adventure and mind puzzles. The graphics are brilliant also.
Once the story mode is over there really isnt much to the game. No online, but there is another survival mode which can add an extra half an hour of gameplay after the story. But consider renting this game rather than buying it. If you rented it, it would be one of the best games you've rented. If you bought it, it wouldnt be the best nor the worst game you've bought.
Having been really looking forward to this game, i must say i was a bit disappointed with it. The game is far too easy even on the hardest dificulty, the fighting is very basic with not many new moves to learn whilst the game is played. The puzzles weren't that challenging and were easy to complete. Having said all that i enjoyed the game itself, just wished it was more challenging and lasted longer...
If you were a fan of the sands of time trilogy games then you should definietly buy this. this game is based between the sands of time and warrior within. yes you can rewind time, yes there is great climbing/jumping/bar swinging, yes there are plenty of puzzles, and yes they are lots of traps & palace defense systems you have to get past. unlike the other games there is the addition of powers the prince has which you can upgrade, such as whirlwind power which knocks enemies down, ice blast, fire trail, and my favourate part, the power to freeze water. only thing which could have been better is that in this game you cannot jump off walls to attack enemies or neither block there attack. but the game is fun and the battle scenes are exiting when applying the powers.
the game is good....and fun. but do not expect the cruel style of warrior within. it is more the first part sands of time, nothing more than a couple of fighting moves with only one sword...but it is way enough. not just hack and slay (like ww with no real strategy) you can not block or use the walls for fighting but can kick away the enemies to gain ground. at first it is a lot of climbing and jumping, easy for a player of the old pop games but the longer you play the harder it gets. you gain some nice powers to solve the problems. freezing the water is quite cool. what bothers me the most is that they always show you the way where to go or to climb. that was already in the old triology. this sometimes quite boring.
go for it....it is much much better than the last one with just collecting light orbs with not enemies
Good game so far with additional powers to pick up as you progress through the game which you need as it does get harder.
There are various features that they have put in to make it different from the others along with the powers that you gain as you progress which is good, but the fighting technique's are not as good as "Warrior Within", much preferred the two swords? Pity it wasn't revamped to go on PS3.
