This is just a massive improvement over LittleBigPlanet, but still retains everything that you loved about the original LittleBigPlanet.
To begin with, the single player is so much more compelling. The storyline actually is very decent and the core gameplay is fantastic. For instance, the addition of gadgets such as the grabinator and the cakeinator really energise the gameplay and offer variety in the way you play the game.
The one issue I had with LittleBigPlanet 1 was the connectivity when playing online. You'll be pleased to know that the connections are very stable; although, I won't lie, I have been victim of a few hiccups here and there, but the improvement is gargantuan. You can play a level with 4 people quite easily.
But I would not recommend LittleBigPlanet 2 if you are only going to be playing the single player. The world of LittleBigPlanet lies beyond single player and in the realms of the community. The community of LittleBigPlanet 2 are a fantastic and very talented bunch. I would recommend you take a quick look at Youtube and you'll find some awe-inspiring gameplay footage of different levels that ordinary people have made.
The best part of all this is that you can play these levels very easily using the search buttons if you are looking for something specific or using the other options such as MM (Media Molecule) picks; it is a complete doddle. But if that's not enough for you and you have some ideas floating around in your head, head straight to the creation area and starting making your ideas a reality.
LittleBigPlanet 2 has unlimited replay value. Why? Well each day more and more levels are created with new and different twists to them. They're bigger and better than LittleBigPlanet 1 so expect some great things.
Basically, if you're 7, 18, 25 or 40+, this game is extremely enjoyable and will cater for all ages. Don't be fooled by the cute, cuddly sackboy. I very much hope to see all of you on LittleBigPlanet 2 in the near future, because it is a brilliant game for your PlayStation 3.
