This is just a massive improvement over LittleBigPlanet, but still retains everything that you loved about the original LittleBigPlanet.

To begin with, the single player is so much more compelling. The storyline actually is very decent and the core gameplay is fantastic. For instance, the addition of gadgets such as the grabinator and the cakeinator really energise the gameplay and offer variety in the way you play the game.

The one issue I had with LittleBigPlanet 1 was the connectivity when playing online. You'll be pleased to know that the connections are very stable; although, I won't lie, I have been victim of a few hiccups here and there, but the improvement is gargantuan. You can play a level with 4 people quite easily.

But I would not recommend LittleBigPlanet 2 if you are only going to be playing the single player. The world of LittleBigPlanet lies beyond single player and in the realms of the community. The community of LittleBigPlanet 2 are a fantastic and very talented bunch. I would recommend you take a quick look at Youtube and you'll find some awe-inspiring gameplay footage of different levels that ordinary people have made.

The best part of all this is that you can play these levels very easily using the search buttons if you are looking for something specific or using the other options such as MM (Media Molecule) picks; it is a complete doddle. But if that's not enough for you and you have some ideas floating around in your head, head straight to the creation area and starting making your ideas a reality.

LittleBigPlanet 2 has unlimited replay value. Why? Well each day more and more levels are created with new and different twists to them. They're bigger and better than LittleBigPlanet 1 so expect some great things.

Basically, if you're 7, 18, 25 or 40+, this game is extremely enjoyable and will cater for all ages. Don't be fooled by the cute, cuddly sackboy. I very much hope to see all of you on LittleBigPlanet 2 in the near future, because it is a brilliant game for your PlayStation 3.

This doesn't deserve a lower rating than four from ANYONE.

Motters' review should not be taken into consideration when buying this game, as it is very misleading. This is NOT a single player game, it should be bought purely for the online experience. If you don't have the internet, don't buy the game. There are three million existing levels from the first game, all the existing creation tools and more, plus the ability to create a variety of your own games; not just levels, GAMES. It has been out for a week and all ready there are some incredibly fun levels to play - with time this game will just get better and better. It is one of the most fun same-console multiplayer experiences you can have! The content available is practically LIMITLESS, so to give the game three stars and state that it's "too short" is absurd and frankly insulting to the immensely creative options available in this game.

My only complaint are the floaty controls, which are sometimes imprecise, but this is a minor trade off for the huge vat of quality content available, especially since the gameplay options can be tweaked to suit the games they are made for. The tutorials also take a while to get through if you want to create something good, however those dedicated should be able to make some brilliant levels. This five-star rating is coming from someone who doesn't like making levels - if you're creative, this game is even more perfect!

  LBP Brilliant Again....

After been crazed by LittleBigPlanet the first time i was a little unsure of getting this one but after reading online reviews watching a few trailers of game play i thought i`d just go for it,
I was thinking what else can they add well, everything from LBP online can be played on LBP 2 so that covers LBP 2 online Plus much more extras.
The story & creative mode add many more extras aswell i hate to say this but LBP 2 makes having LBP pointless.... little big planet 1 & 2 both amazing fun addictive games but LBP 2 takes the edge.

At the not-so-ripe-old-age of 21 I have played many games ranging from FPS to MMOs to Platforms, but never before have i experienced a game like this. Admittedly the story-mode is short, but due to it's enjoyability and the vast community content I didn't mind this one bit. However the true joy of this game comes in creation. After an awful night out on the town with disastrous consequences I decided to come back and play some LBP2 and test the creation mode (after watching the tutorials earlier that day). I was sat there for 2 hours creating one tiny section and the JOY I felt when I had it working was far beyond reasonable. I had gone from being utterly miserable and angry at the happenings of my night out to a completely positive and happy outlook. I have just scraped the surface of the creation modes in this game and I am excited and curious as to what I can create next. Only time will tell.
(watching the tutorials with Stephen Fry's voice-overs also does well to cheer anyone up).
Simply marvellous, would recommend it in a heartbeat!

One of the better games for this year so dont get it over looked by killzone or dead space. The main story is short however there is a lot of user levels out the with great potential. Just buy it you will never beat it

  Well worth the wait !!

Fantastic game and I've only just started playing it. You can transfer you profile from L.B.P. 1 if you want to.( Just a note about these pre- order codes I didn't think I had received mine but a quick e-mail to play and they confermed that they E-Mail them to you and re-sent mine back out.) A great game for any age. Buy It !!
