NHL 11

You should get NHL 11, but don't expect perfection. As the title of my review states, this is more a 4.5 game as there are still some issues that EA is yet to solve in this series. There are glitches which affect the realism of the game, for instance the puck can sometimes land on the goalies back and just stay there causing play to be frozen, as opposed to it rolling down his back and into the net. Sticks STILL go through players bodies, and I don't mean in the impaling sense. The game modes are good, Be a GM is as good as ever, and the inclusion of the CHL is a welcome addition. Be a Pro is ok for a while but the lack of depth this mode offers leaves it empty after a few games, I am yet to go more than half a season as a Pro. All in all, good game and an improvement on NHL 10, but I expect more when NHL 12 comes round.

This was bought for my 13 year old son who has recently started playing ice hockey, so searching for anything game related,he had only previously played nhl 2k10, what a difference. Its great, with many true to life additions, and even being a parent who is mainly a spectator of the game you can definately see its appeal

This game is awsome, was a bit frustrated at first specially as I havent owned a hockey game since NHL powerplay 96' but once you get used to the controls etc it's immensely satisfying and multiplayer is loads of fun !

This is fast, furious action. Great fun to play online and more fun than FIFA, particularly in Be A Pro mode where you spend much more time in the action.

You don't need to be an ice hockey fan to enjoy this.

This is a really good game i have played the demo. The graphics are cool the gameplay is great i like the game lots ! and i will defintly be buying the game !! the buttons are different you just have to get used to them and learn how to play on the in game turtorials then you get the hang of it ! overall really great game a must buy for NHL Fans !! 5/5

NHL FAN MUST BUY:- As a bruins fan i enjoy the NHL i hate FIFFA gaming!
Mood:- Finding myself acting like the spectators and as i act whiles watching in real life.

Quality:-HDMI TV set makes this so real, making myself want to skate tomorrow morning.

Game System:- No adjustments because that was not needed! only improvements are difficulties, I find casual is a good warm up to the game.

AI:- What a challenge! even causal can be challenging to get the puck back at times!

Handle:- Easy just like opening an packet of crisps.

Game rules:- Just like the real NHL rules, offsides, penalty,face off locations ect.

As a English NHL Bruins fan:- AMAZING!!! I wish even more NHL was in England so i could watch them in GMT morning/afternoon times rather then ESPN + streams at noon, this game gets you in the mood to play hockey on ice and wanting to watch them on youtube!

Addition fun:- Watch your fav athlete, mimic the score and try do it !
Any remember the last goal by bruins v caps thursday night? i mimiced that gives more fun as the AI trys to change your play.

Cons: Can't jump in the TV screen and play for real (cant think of one)
PRO:- The whole game!

from the demo and reader reviews the game feels like nhl 10 but more realistic in the right areas and ea have done the right thing and not tryed to fix what isnt broken as nhl 10,even 09 were really great hockey games.
there may not be major new modes but gameplay is where it counts and nhl 11 has thos eminor tweaks to help create a better hockey experiecne than nhl 10.
