As a Twisted Metal fan since the original back on the PS1 i was delighted when this game was announced. Its a must buy for fans of the series. Whilst its positives have been well covered i should outline why it fails to be a 5 star game in my opinion.
1. Drivers no longer have their own specific car, so once you have completed the story mode with the 3 characters there is little re-play value in this mode becasue there are no other endings to view with all of the other characters.
2. The difficulty is too varied, especially in the last half of story mode some levels are incredibly easy yet others are incredibly hard/frustrating.
If you are a Hardcore Gamer and love the old twisted metal! (Especially World Tour) Then this game is more than just good! Its Amazing. It is seriously Twisted with sweet tooth and his old ways. and all the old cars are back with a set base of characters! its soo Damn Twisted Im addicted to the METAL! (the desginer has done an amazing job!)
Awesome game! Bought this on release day and have been glued to it ever since. Brilliant fast visuals, with a real sense of speed and destruction. Great selection of vehicles to choose from and huge arena's to battle it out! Totally brilliant entertainment, and utter chaos at times, great great fun. Quite dark and grisly too, which is nice :) Only negative point I can think of, and worth mentioning is the controls get take a while to get to grips with, and can be quite tough at first as there is so much going on at such a blistering pace!! Once mastered though, you will be totally hooked on it. Ace fun!! Brilliant multi-player online options too. Go buy it, now.
