The PlayStation move takes motion-sensing gaming to the next level. True 1:1, sub-millimeter tracking puts gamers into the virtual world of the PS3 and allows them to interact with the environment as if the objects were in their own living room. The controller uses the PlayStation Eye Camera in conjunction with the light emitting "orb" atop the controller to calculate your position in three-dimensional space. As the orb can change colour, multiple controllers can be tracked simultaneously.

The orb can also be used to enhance in-game actions, for instance changing to red when using a "fire spell". The controller will feature traditional buttons, including a trigger, for those actions which motion-sensing will not capture, such as firing a gun. The possibilities for the motion controller range from simplifying the user-interface of a real-time strategy (selection and commands) to true sword fighting in your favourite role-playing game.

Introducing the PlayStation Move
The PlayStation 3 Motion Controller contains built-in motion sensors, including a colour-changing orb at its head, which interacts with the PlayStation Eye Camera to track movement. This tracking is precise, meaning the PlayStation 3 Motion Contoller recreates every single swing of the arm and twist of the wrist exactly on screen.

Time to Move
The PlayStation Move gives PlayStation 3 gamers a new way to play and interact with their PlayStation 3. The Move is actually broken into three separate parts; the Motion Controller, Navigation Controller and the PlayStation Eye Camera.

The PlayStation Move: Motion Controller
The PlayStation Move: Motion Controller contains advanced motion sensors such as a three-axis accelerometer, a three-axis gyroscope and a terrestrial magnetic field sensor to measure your movements and motions which are translated into on screen movements and commands. The colour changing sphere on the end of the controller is tracked by the PlayStation Eye and by using the power of the PlayStation 3 it detects the movements, angle and the absolute position in 3D space, to add to the accuracy.

Move to the beat
At this point there are 36 third party developers and publishers gearing up to support the PlayStation Move, releasing more than 20 games that are either dedicated to or support the PlayStation Move platform.

i got this a few days ago and the tech is very impressive and having owned a wii its way better than that and appears far more acurate.
my 5 star rating is for the move kit itself but as for the games,i played all the demos and bought the shoot,beat sketcher and time crisis and there all good fun but right now the software is a little limited and there arent really many killer apps.
im sure in a year the move will have better games..hopefully :)

Sony has really learned from its competitors and delivered a compelling and entertaining experience complemented by the hardware's ability to push HD visuals cant wait to play time crisis razing storm on it

Much cheaper than the Kinect and far more accurate than the Wii. The range of games already available is great, not to mention some of the future releases such as SOCOM: Special Forces.
If you have a PS3 i highly recommend this product, if you don't, get one!

This is what the wii controller should have been like..sony take on nintendo and beat them at their own game.the controller has 1:1 motion tracking with no lag..superb tech....the initial line up of games is not exactly great but there are a lot of superb titles to come and some of sonys ps3 back catalogue is being patched for the new controller...i love it..BUY IT NOW!!
