Warning for old 60 GB playstation owners

| | See all pabloonline's reviews (1)

This is a great product don't get me wrong but after one 1 day of use my old 60 GB playstation, which I have had for over 5 years with no problems, packed up with the dreaded yellow light of death! Coincidence?

The YLOD is linked an overheating problem found in the old PS console which has been resolved in the new slim and light version. However serious PS owners will know that the original console is the best but due to the amount of additional features, super audio, flash card readers, PS1 and 2 compatible etc etc but as a result it can become very hot.

Unfortunately I have had to replace my PS and will continue to use my move, which is great!, but I thought I would let other PS owners know so it does not happen to you,

  Great tech!!!!

This kit is good for those who have young children or frequent family gatherings, along with the the xbox kinect it almost makes the wii obsolete and outdated with the power of the gfx in the ps3 and xbox.

The move is still in its early days and with more variety of games coming soon it'll only get better!

5 for the tech but 3 for the games at present.

i got this a few days ago and the tech is very impressive and having owned a wii its way better than that and appears far more acurate.
my 5 star rating is for the move kit itself but as for the games,i played all the demos and bought the shoot, beat sketcher and time crisis and there all good fun but right now the software is a little limited and there arent really many killer apps.
im sure in a year the move will have better games..hopefully :)

It is a new revelation in motion gaming.

Very impressive technology with a wide range of compatibly games to be released. This is a must buy for any ps3 owner.

having owned and been a loyal fan of sony playstation through the years , i find though behind the competition in putting their products out to market before the best they have to offer , they at least when they do...they get it right. cheaper to buy as console bundle with 320gb as i did for son but if considering getting involved with the move range then this is the next cheapest buy, than buying seperately, you can get by on this alone and dont need two controllers to have two player or more action. as a starter ...(the names in the title) you get all you need . dont forget you can also video chat to other ps3 users who have the camera microphone. hours of fun for all the family , arguments all round as other opinions for other consoles systems . all i know is , i was going to get the wii for my girls for the interaction game play and just in time , sony release the move , got them set up on my ps3 with 3 move, 2 navigation , quad charger, attachable sport accessories and 2 guns, 3 games and though financially it all adds up , i believe a good investment , and saves having to cross systems to the competition.

  Expensive in the long run

| | See all TommyGunn1892's reviews (3)

I have to laugh a people who say this is cheaper than Kinect. This is just like the wii. Your controller comes in two parts you buy seperatly, a camera then the games. if you wanna play two player who gotta buy more controllers, then u need a charger for the controllers. it all adds up. if you already have a wii, dont bother with this. step backwards for playstation.

  1 word kinect !

I own all the consoles and would like to say when people compare move with kinect they say 130 for kinect is to much but it tracks upto 6 people with 2 active players. Move you need to buy in some games 2 controllers at 35 quid each, so for 2 player game that's 140 then the price of the camera and then a game! Kinect wins for me and my wallet !

Like the Wii? You'll love this.

I like the Wii, but I like my PS3 a hell of a lot more, and this basically combines the two. It also means you only have to spend 40 quid for this bit of kit instead of paying 150 for a whole other console.

The controls on this are a lot more sensitive and precise compared to the Wii, and I find the Sports more entertaining on the Sports Championships game. Bocce is a favourite of mine. The Move controller is really comfortable, and when the ball on the controller glows purple, we can all have a good laugh. It fits in well with the sleek black PS3 design and is a welcome addition to my gaming equipment.

The only thing this seems to be missing is a Mario Kart style game, but I'm sure something will come as it's only early days.
