When i first heard that they were remaking Mortal Kombat i thought "Hoorah, finally i can own a copy of a Mortal Kombat game without weeping at the loss of my money that would have been better spent on contact lenses for the blind".

When I first started playing i thought it was amazing, finally some good looking backdrops and smooth animations (and models) and a fantastic x-ray attack that doesn't require you to press every button of a 15 tap sequence. Then i realised that although this all looks amazing it starts to get very tedious seeing x-ray attacks and all you want to do it get on with the fighting.

Then there are the fatalities, yes they are imaginative and graphic but they get tot the point where they just seem childish and you get bored of making human sushi to be served to someones dog. Overall though the combat, or should i say kombat, is good and flows nicely and i would recommend this to anyone between the ages of 12 and 17 with anger issues, oh wait its an 18. In that case i can recommend this to no one *wink, wink*.

To anyone looking for a more satifying beat 'em up why not try marvel vs capcom if you haven't already.

  Get over here!!!!!!!!! Come here!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome game, amazing graphics really has done itself proud classic gameplay reboot basically. I recently bought it for 28 pounds brand new off here on play trade, and I am so glad I did. First off you get to practise fatalities which I have mastered reptiles one already, and secondly the DLC for MK 2 outfits is great!

Buy this game its the best Mortal kombat in terms of not being so cheap and hard with the AI, also it remains loyal to the originals

Gettttttttt overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Graphics, great gameplay, great moves.

Pure Greatness.

This game is so badass!!!! Just what a mortal kombat should be like. The storymode is AMAZING...... The narrative keeps you interested and you get to see the back story of each character whilst playing in a tournament in which Earths fate hangs in the balance.

I loved MK vs DC story mode, and this is just as good if not better. The gameplay and moves are great.

If you like Mortal Kombat or fighting games, you have to get this. Simple as that.

must get if your into fighters

One of the best fighting games I've played in a while. Keeps the flare of the old games with a few new additions. The characters are awesome, the fatalities are brutal and I've had some great fun with this game. If you have the spare cash, BUY IT!!

One of the best MK game in years! It's brutal, bone crunching and full of your favourite classic MK characters, given a modern makeover! The story reinvents the MK mythos with reasons behind why some characters are the way they look/are. The fatalities have also made a gory return, a MUCH more gory and violent return. Plus, you can test your might, sight, luck and strike! One to have in your fighting collection!

  Excellent but...

Well first of the game is remastered from the old series (MK, MK2 etc) none of the PS2 MK's with the alternative fighting stances which was confusing.
Just a typical fighter, the graphics as you would expect are nicely rendered and gory!! New and improved fatalities, although not many variety for the characters.
The fighting system is good, allows you to chain together whatever combos you want (juggling) mixing fighting combos with special moves.
The challenge tower is back, quite challenging but majority are pretty straight forward with trial and error. Krypt is a bit of a let down, I was expecting more content, once you unlock everything the koins you collect are basically useless.
If you're into achievements there is one ridiculous trophy they've put in; mastering all characters which literally will take ages to do unless you grind it out.

However all in all, this MK has come back with a bang!! Great revival from a great fighting game I feel. Worth having for any fighting gamer.

Im not the biggest fighting game fan, i own one other beat 'em up and thats tekken, but this game is amazing i likes the old mortal kombat trilogy on ps1 so i realy wanted to give this a go and it delivers.

Fast paced, bloody and exciting MK is my king of the beat 'em ups its everything you remember it to be and more with the great fatalitys and the new 'x-ray' moves for a bit of eye candy and a fight changer, a good selection of fighters and nice looking fight stages plus a whole lot of mini games (test your sight/might/luck/strike) this will keep you going for a long time.

This is Mortal Kombat at its best there is no other fighting game like it, pick it up and see for yourself.
