  Well worth the money...

Big fan of oblivion so knew this would be good.

Game is very addictive, story itself is pretty short however upon completion there is literally hundreds of quests to do. So I'd rate the game overall 100-200 hours for completion fully.

Very time consuming which makes it a great game as there is a full world to explore. Only downsides are that the lag in the game once your save file gets so large makes it almost unplayable, sort of like the fallout games were notorious for. I think this could be rectified via an upcoming patch or maybe saving onto a usb not sure.

Well worth the money though!

Notch all your 5 star games down to one star - this is a new standard; superb ; the best game I have played, ever. I thought Oblivion was good but this is a masterpiece. I am lost for words. Makes every other game look like a rip off.

  Pretty good

Fun game, lots of side quests to do and stuff, and quite a large map with loads of locations. Graphically wise it hasn't really improved much from Oblivion (It's still on the Gamebyro engine, well...a slightly edited version which they call the Creation engine and claim to be brand new, but it's fairly obvious it's the same.) Animation is still abit dodgy, and at the moment there are a number of bugs (Worst of all is the lag bug on the PS3 version, once the game goes over 6MB, I think, the framerate goes terrible.)
But regardless, it's still a fun game. Better than Oblivion by miles, but in my opinion it doesn't hold out against Daggerfall/Morrowind.

I've never played a game like this, i'm usually a cod or racing game fan. I got this game for my girlfriend to shut her up and thought I'd give it a try as I was so let down by mw3. All I can say is wow! I can't put it down, it's the full package and a game that I can't see me getting boarrd of for a VERY long time. Get it! You won't be disapointed!

  Perfection

Game developers take note.... this is how it is done.

Call of Duty drones take notice.... this is a real game.

This game is flawless. A masterpiece of creativity and stunning beauty.

If you don't buy it you really are missing out on what is likely to be the greatest video game ever released.

And that is not just fan talk... it is really is that good.

This game is off the hook. The more time you play, the more you can't get enough. Dragons, stories and armour are incredible. It took me a lot of gameplay to be where i am now with my current dragon armour (awesome). There is no need to think whether is it worth buying it or not. JUST BUY IT !!!

  My New GOTY

| | See all Shikakka's reviews (25)

Firstly my original game of the year was LA Noire as i thought the charcater animations were groundbreaking (hopefully 2012 will be full of this new tech) but once i got my mitts on skyrim my GOTY had to be changed lol

I never played the previous Elder scrolls titles as It didnt really seem like my cup of tea but I did play fallout 3 and new vegas, which i love and thought id give Skyrim a try as the hype around this game was like a second coming. lol

I was expecting this to be like fallout eg with the bugs/freeze's and sketchy load times but how wrong was i. Seems like theyve taken the best elements out of the fallout system, re-worked them and left out all the bugs. Amazing.

Like I said before this is my first elder scrolls experience and I have to say im completley bouncing off the walls with this game, its awesome. The story and setting may not be everyones favorite genre (thats what put me of originally) but it really does suck you in after a couple of hours and makes you want to explore and experience everything the world has to offer.

Skyrim is filled with all sorts of people, animals, towns, dungeons, dragons etc and with the amazing graphics youll be seeing, they both make the world come to life in an amazing and beautiful way, it really is great achievment. The word feels warm and comfortable in some places, cold and scary in others but youll feel totally imursed in this fictional land. (much better than real life lol)

I have to say that the soundtrack and audio are also breathtaking, once you pop the disc in and the menu screen loads up, youll hear the coolest music ever which totally gets your dragon slaying, bandit bashing buzz on. Love it.

To sum up this game is amazing and even if its not the type of game you normally play or are wondering weather or not to buy it, id say DO IT. Like i said even if its not your type of game you'll deffinatley appreciate all the time and effort gone into this game.

Oh and if you think it may be a bit overwhelming id say that Bethesda have taken this into account and created a very easy and useful TASK menu which is great to use and very clrear.

Super smashing fantastic.

I've not played RPG's before but 8 hours gametime into this and I'm well and truly hooked.
The game is massive and personally I think this game is unfinishable as its so big.
The graphics are ace the views from up the mountains is quite breathtaking.
I'm so glad I bought this game as I was left disappointed after the latest COD release.
Pure brilliance:)
