Duke Nukem Forever

The King is back! I LOVE Duke Nukem Forever. It' is something that a lot of games aren't these days - FUN. The whole thing is very tongue in cheek. It keeps to the Duke legacy perfectly, it is exactly what a Duke game should be all these years after the last one. I've seen a few people complaining it's hard. What? Are you SERIOUS?! Maybe you should put it down and go play some Farmville or something because you're clearly not up to it. It's a straight forward shooter, fun to play, lots of little touches to keep you amused, fantastically juvenile humour (thank GOD!), politically incorrect (thank ALLAH!), it's just great. Buy it. Just buy it!

Nowhere near as bad as a lot of reviews say.If you liked previous duke nukem games then you will enjoy this.Even if you are a newcomer to duke,check it out if it's cheap and i'm sure you will like it.COD it ain't but then it's not supposed to be.

If the cheap price doesnt make you smile then the game certainly will. What a laugh! The game is a must with its varied gameplay and mini games and even the Mrs sat with me watching the Dukes antics unfold. I must warn you that if like me you have a 52" 1080P LCD that you play the games on then "close the blinds" as a neighbour with her young son was not amused at the animated booby images on display as she walked past haha. Its a great "geeza" game that I would highly recommend for a laugh with your mates or erm........wife.

This game is pretty good! The demo does it no justise at all! i havent completed it yet but the story does seem long!! the downside is loading time between levels and if you die! takes about a minute! graphics are good and the quotes he says are good as well

Pure nostalgia, frustrating but fun ,loading is a bit slow but gives you time to swear at the screen for being sucker punched.

Yes the graphics aren't amazing but there still good enough

Its all about the cheese, if you don't like kicking alien ass and bad one liners you won't like this, if you love cheese and 80's action films you won't be disapointed

I got this game no expecting much from it due to all the reviews, all i can say about them is they are comparing this against games it shouldn't be compared too, its not COD but it's not trying to be so why compare it?!

Buy it, you know you want to!

I have completed this game once but really had no interest to do it again in a harder difficulty for example. As an old school gamer of when Duke Nukem 3D first came out which was an awesome game I felt this game was a bit of a let down considering how long it's been in development for.

The game itself is still good ol duke but with quite a lot of pointless things added in, not enough great levels, if people remember the classic you will know what I mean.

The graphics are a bit off the engine seems to fail to render a lot of the graphics at times which can be irritating for some I guess. But other then that the game is pretty fun but gets old fast.

At the core of this game, technically speaking it's not amazing by way of gameplay mechanics. However, this doesn't infringe upon the fun you have playing it in the slightest! The game is rough around the edges but still very much the Duke Nukem we love, with tongue-in-cheek gameplay and interaction with various things around you, its an incredibly fun and amusing game to play. From Duke's one liners to picking up faeces from toilets and lobbing it at enemies to having a quick game of pinball.
Everything is here that we loved about Duke back in the day, and Gearbox already announced they'd be making more of them (hopefully it won't take 12 or so years).
The reason this game only got 4/5 from me is the multiplayer, generally the game modes are hectic and fun but deathmatches are horribly plagued with latency, which is a little odd because I don't have the same latency issue with capture the babe (which is amazingly fun to play).
Either way, this is a great come-back for Duke and I can hardly wait to see what Gearbox will do next!

I have read a lot of negative things about this game and i have to disagree,.i'm bored with the likes of cod and battlefield i want some fun playing a shooter, and that's what you get with duke.as far as i'm concerned its a great game and people who like a lot of fun get this and hail to the king baby.
