I MUST BE PLAYING A DIFFERENT GAME..

first of all i cannot get it into my head why everyone is giving this game 5 stars...
in my opion this game has took a step back in the way of graphics and the way the game feels when your racing..the force feedback is very late kicking in on the steering wheel..when driving round a circuit the car feels very jerky and not as smooth as 2010..
when your on the grid the close ups of the cars looks very impressive... but once your off.. the track seems to bright and cars in front and behind seem blured and jumpy..almost ps2 looking..
the krs and drs are good but doesnt make up for all the downsides.. the game itself in story mode is preety much the same as 2010..i could go on all day but all i will say is if your friends online are still playing 2010 then stick with it as the game play is more smooth and fun..
i can only hope codemasters will bring all the updates that are needed to iron out all the faults because at the momment its just looks and feels awfull..

 Excellent..

Wow what a great game, zillions better than F1 2010, colours are better, cars look now as though they are on the track rather than before when there was a gap between the tyres and the track which was clearly visible, the graphics are fantastic, a huge step from F1 2010,..

 Improvements all round!

Yes, as the two previous guys mentioned, the AI is a massive improvement here. I've only had chance to do the first two full weekend races on career mode, and I agree, you do have to make full use of the practice sessions in the hardest modes.

This game is a real simulation, Codemasters are far more advanced with real physics than EA (Need for Speed) or any competitors and handles like the previous F1 2010 game or Grid (both classic games) BUT F1 2011 does take it to the next level in terms of the extra touches.

This game is for enthusiasts rather than gamers who like Need for Speed / Outrun / Burnout etc etc

Looking forward to racing online against 15 other gamers!

"That's what I'm talking about!!!"

 AMAZING

Simply this is just a brilliant game and if you use a reactive steering wheel it becomes amazing i just love it, but it NOW

Exceptional but one thing to improve....

This is a truly exceptional game that fully captures the authenticity of racing within a Formula 1 environment, however there is one issue that needs to be addressed....

On most of the tracks the lap times set in the race by the AI drivers are completely unrepresentative of what they have previously set in qualifying. This appears to be prevalent in all four of the difficulty settings, however some tracks accentuate the issue. For example, if you are racing at Montreal on level Professional and Fernando Alonso qualifies in 2nd on a 1m 18.5, how can he be lapping the same speed or faster after only a few laps of the race considering full tanks of fuel and limited DRS?

Other than this, the game is brilliant.
