I've managed to defeat the dragon and I thought It would be the end but... ( I'm not going to spoil anything ). You main job is to either kill the dragon or to sacrifice someone to bring peace to the world. Well its story starts really fast and nice but then you lost track of it by doing side missions because you rarely know which is the main story quest.
Graphically game looks very good with occasional blurry textures and tree bushes or magic tornadoes blocking your view. Sometimes its annoying when you are in battle. Few very nice touches, when you wear helmet in the city you will have it opened. But when you venture outside then your helmet will be closed. Game physics and animations looks very convincing and smooth. But sometimes game slow down especially when saving. Ah, and you can have ONLY one Save slot ( which is design flaw ). And it adds a little bit difficulty.
Game world seems big at first glance but its smaller than Skyrim's. Most of it is surrounded by water and you can't swim because monster will toss you away on random beach lol.
Combat system is a combination of Dark Souls, Monster Hunter and dynasty warriors. So we have a bit of button mashing and a bit of tactical action ( waiting for the opportunity to attack ) and Skill system which is very good. You can have 6 active skill ( Warriors only 3 ) but they are usually very powerful and entertaining to watch :) .
Pawns ( your AI comrades ) can be a bit dumb at times and are rarely helpful. You will find yourself pressing left or right on the D pad ( for Help ) to get them to heal you or buff . My pawns died so many times while I still had at least half of HP. It seems they learn VERY slowly. But with higher level and better knowledge they will dodge and cast right spells. So later on they improve a bit.
Difficulty in this game isn't scaled to your level. So sometimes you will just avoid certain enemies until you find some better equipment or level up. And this can be annoying because it will involve loads of Backtracking to the places you've visited. Yep, and even teleportation cost a lot. And even then you can't teleport anywhere but only to the "Stone portal". I've saved up around 400 k gold to get myself griffin armor and a decent two-handed sword plus I bought some stuff for my pawn. But later on I've found really good equipment but I couldn't afford it since single sword ( at the end of the game ) can cost over one milion gold. And materials you can gather are used to improve weapons and armor not to craft them lol.
Well overall its a very good game with great combat and atmospheric dungeons ( but there are few of them :( few things however are missing that's why I give it only 4 stars. Because apart from questing and fighting there isn't much to do in the game. You can't farm or you can't even romance ( well you can give gifts to people to increase their affinity ). And the world map is small... I've killed the dragon after maybe 16-18 hours in the game and in the end it turns out that it's better to level up to at least lvl 80... because stuff that awaits after defeating the dragon.... is just beyond description.
