Instantly playable, both online and single play is fantastic!!! Pro Evo has and always will beat Fifa for playability!!

  Poor version

As a loyal PES fan theis game is a massive let down.

In master league mode you are now forced to suffer an irritating chap who stands by a board and tells you the same thing before and after each game. You are also forced to listen to players moan after each game because they havent been selected, were played out of position, want a different squad number etc. The above do not add anything to the game, they are just annoying.

In terms of gameplay, as other reviews have said goalkeepers are useless, they regularly dive past 40 yard free kicks and let daisy cutters trickle in. Defending is also too tough as free kicks are given for nothing. Also very difficult to run away from players once you've beaten them.

Avoid this one, the 2011 version is better.

  The best Yet!!!!!

This version of PES is the easily the best yet. It is a lot harder than previous versions, although that could just be down to the fact that I'm just not used to the game play yet. It feels faster than 2011, but I feel this adds a certain excitement to the game play. The best feature I've found so far is the ability to control off ball players. This is really good in set piece situations and even better when controlling an off ball player to make a through run. Goalkeepers seem to be more proan to venturing out from the safety of their sticks and do make a few more howlers than previous versions. Although is this just more true to life with a lot of the top leagues in the world becoming more attack orientated?

All in all this is well worth buying, really good job Konami!!!

Just be aware though, that the summer transfers aren't updated on it. So you will need to download the update from the net! This really surprised me and is a down point of the game.

Keepers are just too easy for fast players to sidestep and roll the ball in to the empty net.

Every online game is Barcelona v Barcelona, Real Madrid v Real Madrid or Barcelona v Real Madrid, as they are overly dominant.

I flogged it off as I was sick of Messi and Ronaldo heads just dancing on the edge of the box waiting for a CPU player to concede a free kick, or to get a one-on-one with a docile keeper.... round the keeper... easier than scoring from a shot.

You just get the same game, same goals over and over.

Single player is brilliant... can't fault it.

  Back to its best

This is the best football out at the minute. The perfect blend of realism and excitement . Every match and every goal is unique, defending can be difficult, players seem to walk into the penalty area and score with ease at first but after a few games you learn to defend against it and score some beautiful goals yourself. Penalties are easier to score than the last version and the master league is alot better too. The pace of this game is much faster than pes2011 and feels like the pes of old, the art of beating two palyers and scoring a screamer is back and its more a case of 4-3 than 1 nil, goals galore and above all fun galore

  Its fab!!!

I like the fifa games but this is the best PES yet. I bought 2010 and 2011 and enjoyed them, but this is deinitely an improvement. Online pretty good so would recommend you give it a shot

  What are the changes?

I love pro evolution soccer but am struggling to actually see the difference between 2011 and 2012? The gameplay seems to me to be exactly the same and the refereeing decisions (although promised to be better with more advantage played) are just as bad, maybe worse than last years! On the good side, it is still pro evolution soccer so you still do get a good gaming experience, just wish they would completely overhaul the game like they had promised??

NOT AS GOOD AS THE DEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this as I was extremely disappointed with this year's FIFA. I used to love PES back in the day but to be honest the last few have been unplayable. I thought the demo played well so I took a chance. Its MADBAD. For some reason the last few PESs have persisted in making the player run through porridge with the ball. Its ok when you build up a bit of pace but when you stroll with the ball it feels sticky and the animation is jerky and unfluid. AND the online is absolutely laughable. I played one and won 4-2 with 6 goalkeeping mistakes in the match leading to 4 open goals. Absolute garbage. I've been ripped off. Its Watchdog bad. I wish fanboys would get off their highhorses and just honestly review these games. This is once again an absolute joke. If you disagree, buy a PS2 and any PES from about 10 years ago and see how football is meant to be played.
