The critically acclaimed and best-selling MMA videogame franchise returns to take players inside the Octagon with UFC Undisputed 3, delivering intense UFC action focused on brutal toe-to-toe combat, impressive visual presentation and increased accessibility.

Featuring the addition of PRIDE Mode, a brand new submission system, new ways to finish the fight and increased accessibility through both traditional and simplified gameplay controls, players will experience sheer brutal combat and a pure adrenaline rush every time they step inside the Octagon.

Players will also experience the excitement of a live UFC event through significant visual improvements - from broadcast to cage-side - through new camera positions and the introduction of much-anticipated fighter entrances.

Rounding out the UFC experience with a significantly improved online feature set, including new and updated offerings, UFC Undisputed 3 lets players have their fights - their way - to deliver the most competitive and engaging experience to date for the franchise.

Advanced striking:
The striking system in UFC Undisputed 3 has been improved to include a new Natural Combo System, improvements to Quick Strikes versus Strong Strikes and the ability to finish fights via Leg Kick. The Natural Combo System allows players to experiment and freely create their own combos, where the type of strikes chained together dictates the speed and damage of each follow-up attack. In addition, the Jab is more effective, as Quick Strikes now have the ability to interrupt an opponent's Strong Strike. Combined with the ability to finish opponents via TKO due to leg damage, players will have more ways than ever to finish their opponents.

New submissions:
The UFC Undisputed 3 submission system has been revamped to offer a new graphic-based system that helps indicate not only who is winning or losing in a submission but also why the player has won or lost the submission. Fighters can now go into new submissions during an opponent's transition or takedown. In addition, a wide variety of submissions have been added this year, including Standing Guillotines and Rear Naked Chokes, Flying Heel Hooks, Mounted Gogoplatas and brand new Cage Submissions, such as the Kick Off the Cage Armbar and Triangle Choke.

New fight mechanics:
A variety of gameplay options have been added to UFC Undisputed 3 for deep fighting gameplay. Complex Feints allow players to mislead their opponents and score bigger hits. While on his back, the player has additional options in the form of ground sways, allowing him to avoid incoming strikes and potentially survive a barrage of attacks from an opponent. In addition, players can now use the cage to their advantage by entering new ground cage positions, which will allow them to set up submissions off their backs or escape to a better position.

PRIDE Mode: Compete for the first time within the legendary PRIDE environment featuring official announcers and renowned Japanese MMA league rules, including brutal soccer-style kicks, head stomps and ground knees to the head

Finish the fight: With punishing new moves, a brand new submission system and increased focus on presentation, players will have more options than ever to take advantage of a downed opponent

From broadcast to cage-side: Experience the intensity of UFC with new camera positions, compelling fighter entrances, improved facial animations and a gritty, high contrast appearance

Gameplay accessibility: Get inside the Octagon with a choice between traditional and simplified gameplay control options, enabling players of all skill levels to experience the intensity of UFC while executing simple standing strikes or more complex ground and transition mechanics

Extraordinary roster: Go head to head with more than 150 prolific UFC fighters, including the addition of Featherweight and Bantamweight divisions

Extensive online offering: A significantly revamped online experience, including both new and updated features, rounds out the best competitive fighting experience to date for the franchise

             demo review

downloaded the demo yesterday and all i can say is IMPRESSED. ive never really liked the past games as they seemed slow boring and very complicated controls but as you will read on the discription they have completley revamped the control system and i a beginner was able to pick up and play this with ease.

great graphics, brilliant gameplay and by the looks of it there will be plenty to do.
again very impressed and i cant wait to get it and im not even a ufc fan.

             Okay nothing special.

Tbh i bought this game cause i was thinking it would be a big improvement on the first game but no its the same old stuff. The best thing they have added is the submission system. But the training is way too hard and the entrances aren't even needed there just cheesy. And the graphics has stayed the same. I wish i had bought the latest fight night. UFC is just OTT violence which don't take any skill. And the American accents are so annoying. Waste of money. Just get the first UFC Cause it'll be cheaper and basically exactly the same.

             Amazing!

Pre ordered, but only had chance to play it 3 times so far. The only issue I had with the previous game was that the submissions were so hard to do or escape from. Now that they've been revamped, they're a lot less complicated to execute and therefore makes it so that the fight isn't practically over as soon as the opponent takes you to the floor. Also there's the option to simplify the grappling controls for beginners which I imagine is very useful.

In the career mode, you can now move weight classes just by getting a winning streak going, I think 4 or more wins and you get offered fights from other divisions as well as your own, so you're not limited to fighting the people in the same weight class over and over until you defend the title a few times. Some of the training in career mode takes some getting used to and I'm still working on it, but I think once I get the hang of them they'll pay off.

So far all I've done is career mode, so I cant rate the other game modes, but if career is anything to go by then the other modes will be awesome too and UFC 3 will be a game to keep you busy for quite a while.
