Devil May Cry: HD Collection brings the first three original Devil May Cry titles; Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening - Special Edition together in one high definition package for the first time.

Devil May Cry is one of Capcom's most successful and critically acclaimed franchises. Featuring Dante, one of the most iconic video game characters of the last decade, Devil May Cry: HD Collection will be full of the award-winning gameplay and style that the series has become known for with the addition of stunning HD graphics, bonus content and support for Trophies and Achievements.

Debuting in 2001, Devil May Cry immediately redefined the action genre, achieving a metacritic of 94. The title captured gamers' hearts through its stylish, over-the-top action and bad boy anti-hero Dante. Son to a human mother and a devil father named Sparda, the half-demon Dante uses his innate abilities and the powers of ancient demons to fight a one-man war against the forces of darkness and save humanity from damnation.

The follow up to Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 centres on Dante and his new devilishly agile partner Lucia in their fight to defeat a horde of evil and a man hell-bent on achieving supreme power. Devil May Cry 2 released in 2003 and was praised for its variety of environments, additional playable character, new ideas and updated control scheme.

Released in 2006, Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening - Special Edition is the definitive edition of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, featuring a number of enhancements, including the opportunity to play as Dante's twin brother, Vergil, as well as the addition of Bloody Palace Mode and Turbo Mode.

Iconic demon action hero returns: Play as Dante, one of the most iconic video game characters of the last decade

Upgraded visuals: Experience the stylish gothic action that the series is best known for in stunning HD, with updated textures and widescreen support

Bonus content: Devil May Cry: HD Collection offers players a wealth of new content for fans and newcomers alike

Earn trophies and achievements: Accomplish new goals and have reasons to relive the action from the Devil May Cry series

Every bit of real time graphics (that is 99% of the games) are in glorious crystal clear 60fps 720p resolution. Some of the cut scenes which are pre-rendered videos (very few actually) and menus are in Standard Definition fact which doesnt affect at all the gaming experience. Ive been very indecisive because of some negative reviews Ive read but as soon as the games started it was obvious that the HD treatment was excellent. They look awesomely beautiful and there is no comparison to their PS2 counterparts. I waited to beat the 1st DMC game to have a clearer opinion about the collection before writing this review. I hope it will be helpful.

Absolutely amazing, brings back many good memories. Playing through them again is brilliant, some of the best action games ever made, great setting and characters. They all look really good, the HD upgrade has done a good job! and who can complain at the price? 3 amazing games (well, DMC 2 is not bad but not as good as 1 and 3).

         2 out of 3 ain't bad

2 Of the greats game on the PS2 and one Average, every action game fan should try these. The upgrade to HD is nothing special but what else do you except from capcom. all Devil May Cry Fans should buy this to support the original series

another capcom let down. only a little improved

this game really isn't good . the characters are not cool the videos in the game are bad and always the same fighting all over a game. it is better then onimusha but still a let down. even it isn't very nice like opening doors without watching the handle.
