After the atrocious Dirt 2 I feared the worst,I'll be clear. If you loved Dirt 2,stay away from Dirt 3. Dirt 3 in my opinion, takes you away from the terrible Americanisation of Dirt 2. Who wants to listen to skateboard/surfer dudes voices in a rally game ?
The game goes back to the things that made Dirt 1 really great, more point to point racing and no annoying voice overs.
The graphics are pretty impressive and the vehicle handling after a bit of tinkering is spot on. Any crashes are definitely your fault, wether it's you hammering into a corner when you should be slowing or forgetting the track layout. Only thing I would gripe about is the dreaded DLC,a fair number of cars/tracks are unavailable unless more cash is shelled out.
It's the way the gaming world is going and they are not alone in doing it.
In short,if you loved a Dirt 1 you will love Dirt 3.
i thought this should be good after the excellent dirt 2, but its too different entirely, boring car shots during loading, and more time spent loading than driving, repetative circuits, all in all very dissapointing.
