Last summer, one man revolutionised the current WWE landscape. In a legendary moment at the end of Monday Night Raw, WWE Superstar CM Punk - as the voice of the voiceless - changed everything the world knew about WWE. Through his words and actions, a new leader emerged to set a higher standard, convey a new brand of attitude and ultimately ignite a revolution among the WWE Universe. His mantra? "Best in the world".

It's not the first time WWE has seen such rebellion. Nearly 15 years ago, the legendary "Stone Cold" Steve Austin also revolutionized the WWE realm, sparking a new generation of supporters through his relentless, antihero behavior in one of WWE's most celebrated time periods: the Attitude Era. Why did it happen? In his words, "cause Stone Cold said so".

Today, a new crusade is on the horizon, and it doesn't start with an iconic WWE Superstar on television, online or at a live event. WWE '13 is imminent, and it's time to Live the Revolution.

THQ's flagship WWE videogame franchise returns to provide the most authentic, seamless and passionate experience to date - all while turning up the attitude. WWE '13 will transform WWE gameplay through the introduction of WWE Live, completely changing the way players embrace the videogame's audio and presentation elements. Predator Technology returns to further implement critical gameplay improvements, while fan favorites in WWE Universe Mode and the franchise's renowned Creation Suite are poised to offer the utmost in player freedom. Furthermore, WWE '13 will introduce a groundbreaking, single-player campaign based on the highly influential Attitude Era. Complete with a robust roster - the largest to date in the franchise - along with a host of additional features, WWE '13 is ready to live a revolution all its own.
  • Order WWE '13 from Play.com and receive a code to download the "Iron" Mike Tyson character for use in-game
  • Often touted as the "baddest man on the planet", the boxing legend and former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Mike Tyson will be available as an exclusive playable character for consumers who pre-order WWE '13

  • WWE live: Experience the atmosphere, spectacle and fervor of a WWE live event through attention-grabbing Spectacular Moments, including ring breaks and barricade crashes, along with a brand new audio and presentation system designed to produce the most authentic and vibrant commentary, sound effects and crowd participation levels ever experienced in a WWE videogame
  • The attitude is back: Return to an unparalleled and groundbreaking era in WWE history - a time of pure raucousness, grandiose personalities and colossal revolution - through a franchise-first single player campaign focused on eight purveyors of attitude during the famed television "Monday Night Wars", including WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
  • WWE Universe 3.0: Control the virtual WWE experience like never before in the popular career-style mode, as individual decisions throughout gameplay will dynamically introduce matches, alliances, rivalries and unpredictable moments along the path toward becoming a WWE champion
  • Predator Technology 2.0: Driven by new animations, transitions and modified controls, Predator Technology returns to deliver intelligent, fluid and engaging WWE action, resulting in a smoother gameplay experience than its predecessors
  • Create & share: Utilize the franchise's industry-defining Creation Suite to develop and customize superstars, entrances, arenas, finishing moves, storylines, highlight reels and more, as well as share and download creations with others from around the world
  • Distinguished roster: Compete with a vast array of WWE Superstars and Attitude Era luminaries from the largest roster in franchise history, including cover Superstar CM Punk, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Sheamus, Undertaker, Mankind, Chris Jericho, Big Show and Mark Henry
  • Suprises in store: Live the Revolution through future announcements, including additional game features, a comprehensive roster reveal, downloadable content and big surprises
  • I Quit Match mode: Eight years after its last inclusion in the franchise, the iconic I Quit Match mode returns to WWE '13. Completely redesigned from top to bottom, it's the most authentic representation of the match ever seen in video game form. In order to offer the most complete WWE gaming experience yet, WWE '13 also features the long awaited comeback of the King Of The Ring mode, allowing gamers to create their own tournaments with more choice than ever before.

 Poor effort

The control and movement are not great same for the graphics. Spent hours creating a wrestler but then realised its a waste of time as you have to create your own story mode as they haven't bothered adding one, so there is some more hours wasted (laziness by thq). I expected a lot more as I used to enjoy these games but am disappointed by the fact you need to spend hours setting and creating just to play a career.

 One word......RUBBISH!!!

This is so hard to play it is unreal. Mankind is impossible to beat in the 1st Attitude match. The game is so slow and moves such as picking a chair up should be as simple a pressing X O or R1 etc but it is not as easy as that. I also hate games where you have to win to unlock superstars, I paid 40 pound for this game so it should include all wrestles from the start. This game states there is 1000 superstars to choose from but there is not there is only about 25. Do yourself a favour and save your money. THQ should hold there head in shame as well as refund my hard earned cash. How companies get away with making such rubbish is beyond me.

i really enjoyed this game the predatory system is great i hated wwe 12 and was a bit 50-50 before i bought this glad i did i can understand alot of people s complaints about the controls when you go in to the controlle setting for anyone like me that does not like to use anologue to move the superstar use controlle option B you only have the option of A and B i use B because it very similar to the 2011 version except L2 is to run and your grapples are the old school all directions and X which is better the only negative is thq do get lazy when it comes to move set of each superstar but i always change mine anyway to make it more realistic and the graphics on kane are awful looks very poor but thats it really i would also tell anyone to use randy orton to play with first he is brilliant the rko is awsome on this version but i would tell any wwe fan to buy

Pretty fun, but it takes some getting used to

Attitude Era. In a nutshell, amazing. There's a good few classic matches, including the Mankind vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell, the Bret Hart screwjob, Austin vs McMahon, so it's a welcome chance to relive the glory days of the WWE.

Controls have been overhauled to make it easier to access, but still have a nice amount of depth to them. You can individually target body parts, holding the grapple button performs submissions so they're always accessible, and the inclusion of OMG! moves and catch finishers (where you can 'catch' someone who's jumping from the top rope, straight into your finishing move) is a nice touch. Reversals are easier too. One button, and you get an indicator telling you if you're too slow or too fast, so you can adjust your timing accordingly.

My only real gripe is with getting your character up in certain match types. Last Man Standing matches can last forever if you get the timing down, and pinning someone is a pain if they've picked up the timing as well.

The Predator Engine, while making for nice fluid gameplay, also makes for some amazing moments when it can't figure out what to do with inanimate objects. I've seen belts go flying when thrown to the ground, chairs bouncing around the ring if someone gets slammed on them, the highlights of the match are when it messes up, big time!

If you're unsure, rent it. You can play online for 7 days without the online pass, so if your friends have a copy, you can play against them to get a feel for it. The online netcoding has been revised as well, so most matches are lag free (provided you and your buddies / whomever you're fighting have a decent internet connection!)

Yes! Yes! Yes! OR No! No! No!

After buying WWE 12 last year and being really disappointed, I decided to rent WWE 13 so I didn't risk wasting another 40 quid...

After playing it for about 6 days, I still can't decide whether to buy it or not.
There are a lot of good features in the game, but there are also a few bad ones.

There is a slight improvement in the graphics. Some wrestlers look better than others but overall, it's visually pleasing. The menu is simple and the roster page looks good. Although I still don't like that the downloaded wrestlers and divas have their own section. I think it would be much better if they were all on just one roster page.

The new predatory technology is a great new edition. It gives the game a less robotic feel to it, which makes the matches much more enjoyable. Though there are a few glitches where Tables, Ladders etc can just disappear from the ring!

I grew up in the Attitude Era so for me, this is much welcomed inclusion! All the old school wrestlers are there and the commentary is much more relative and less repetitive compared to when playing normal mode. Definitely the best part of the game.

I'm still not a fan of Universe Mode. It gets quite, rather quickly. I still think they should bring back GM Mode from a few years ago. I personally, really enjoyed that feature and thought they could've made it even better! Ah well!

Overall, this is probably the best wrestling game to date. It has a huge roster, the graphics are great and there is pretty much every match to compete it, with every possible title at stake. However, if you're into create mode, playing online and universe mode, you might not be as satisfied as you have been with previous titles.

My advice, rent this game first before deciding.
