Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the new action-thriller from the award-winning team at Infinity Ward, the creators of the Call of Duty series, delivers the most intense and cinematic action experience ever.

Armed with an arsenal of advanced and powerful modern day firepower, players are transported to treacherous hotspots around the globe to take on a rogue enemy group threatening the world. As both a U.S Marine and British S.A.S. soldier fighting through an unfolding story full of twists and turns, players use sophisticated technology, superior firepower and coordinated land and air strikes on a battlefield where speed, accuracy and communication are essential to victory.

The epic title also delivers an added depth of multiplayer action providing online fans an all-new community of persistence, addictive and customisable gameplay.

Authentic Advanced Weaponry: Featuring an available arsenal of more than 70 new and authentic weapons and gear from assault rifles with laser sights, claymore mines, .50 caliber sniper rifles, and M-249 SAW machine guns. With accessories like night-vision goggles and ghillie suits, for maximum concealment, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has players locked and loaded to accomplish the mission.

Coordinated Assault and Support: Delivering the most visceral action thriller ever, the title covers modern battle from the soldier to the satellite, where the need for air support is critical to success. The adrenaline rush deployment enlists gamers to fast-rope from tactical helicopters, ride in an armada of attack choppers, utilise jets to remove enemy strongholds and even engage hostiles from thousands of feet above the ground inside a state of the art aerial gunship.

Cinematic Quality Graphics and Sound: Featuring stunning next-generation graphics, players will be drawn into the cinematic intensity of Modern Warfare. Amazing special effects, including realistic depth of field, rim-lighting, character self-shadowing, texture streaming as well as physics-enabled effects will enlist players into the most photo-realistic gaming experience. Combine the lifelike graphics and the realistic battle chatter with the Call of Duty award-winning sound design and players will face battle as they have never before.

Unparalleled Depth to Multiplayer: Multiplayer builds from the success of Call of Duty 2 delivering a persistent online experience for greater community interaction. Featuring create-a-class options allowing players to customise gear that is best suited for play, to experience points enabling unlockables and perks, all the way to matchmaking and leaderboards for the latest in tracking, Modern Warfare's multiplayer is set to deliver easily accessible and addictive online play for all.

The Best FPS, But Still Flaws.

The COD series has finally infiltrated the 21st century. Modern Warfare has a totally new selection of missions and weapons plus the essential online play. The single player is awesome, you get to play a variety of different types of missions. Sniper, infiltrations and then there's the plain old run around and shoot. This presents an exciting way of playing and suits any preferences you may have with FPS's. In my opinion the single player is the best to be seen in any FPS so far. Basically, dieing is a pleasure, because you get to play that amazing level again! However, the single player mode is very short and becomes boring after you have played the whole thing through once
Online play. WOW. The online multiplayer mode is a breath of fresh air. It uses a search and join a game system similar to that of Ranbow Six, for those who have played it. The gameplay is addictive and exhilerating and would be sure to make any gamer pee their pants. However, there have been ranking problems, but im sure Activision will clean those up in no time with any luck.
In short the single player is second to none, however it is easily completed in no time. The multiplayer, amazing apart from the dodgy ranking.
Good Work Activision, you made the best PS3 game yet, now BUY IT!

       Best PS3 Game Out Now.

This is the best PS3 game out right now, iv had it for a week now and i'm addicted to it, the first person campaign is amazing, iv read alot of reviews saying that its short but after playing it i didn't even think it was that short, the graphics are out of this world, the game play is unbelievable, the sound is intense (its like your actually there)

The thing that puts COD 4 on another level to other games on the PS3 is the online multilayer..playing online will get you addicted to it like i am, if anyone has ever played Battlefield 2 on there PC its a bit like that but with better graphics..the actual maps where you kill each other are not as big as the Battlefield 2 ones but are still really big, the more you kill the better rank you get and that lets you have better weapons..i recommend people to complete the first person campaign before getting online because you will be killed alot, the reason for this is you have to get used to the controls

my PS3 name is EzziiG..add me

       No Life . . . .

If you have a life and still want to enjoy it then do not buy this game!
I have owned it for about 4 weeks now and only leave the house to go to work, lol. This was my first real foray into the world of FPS but oh my god what a game. The single player mission is fun and gives you a nice intoduction into the weapons etc but once you get online your free time is over. The online game blows everything away and leaves you eating, breathing and dreaming about it

One thing that I can not stress enough is to buy a headset. The online game is so much more involved if you can communicate with your fellow gamers and able to use advanced tactics to acheive the goals .

Now I am waiting for Battlefield: Bad Company to arrive and hoping it delivers the same levels of enjoyment

Just a typical Call Of Duty outcome, an outstanding, and almost unexpected outcome. A lot of improvement through gameplay, online play, game modes, everything. Personally, I seriously did not see this coming, but they stepped up to the mark and did very well. An amazing achievement from the people at Activision.
