1 Not a very nice game.Scrimpo | 14/09/2008 | See all Scrimpo's reviews (4)I'm struggling to find the words for this game, clean words anyway. I was really looking forward to this, and what I got was a game that truly should not have been released in it's current state. Granted I've only played it for about three hours before giving up, but here are some of my findings based on the limited time I've spent with it:The GPS will send you in a direction that the game will not let you go. There is road, but the half witted bint that co-ordinates your missions will say her signal is bad, and the game will physically not allow you to progress toward the objective. When you aim directly at an enemy and have your aim confirmed by the reticle turning red only about 1 in 5 shots will hit your target, although the enemies can hit you with no problem. If my character is supposed to be an experienced mercenary it should be a given that he can shoot straight. As it stands it's like he's shooting whilst wearing someone elses glasses. One mission prompted me to throw a smoke grenade into a target area to signal a pilot. I did this around thirty times, with the game each time not recognising that it was landing within the target. I tried it later, doing exactly same thing, and it worked first time.I entered an area occupied by a group who were supposedly friendly, yet they started shooting at me. Closer inspection showed that they weren't actually shooting at me, they were in fact shooting wildly, lobbing grenades and shouting at an enemy that wasn't there. I couldn't resist giving one of them who was lying down shooting at what was possibly his own front door a swift kick in the conkers which did raise a smile, but ultimately proved to be more trouble than it was worth.Gameplay aside the look of the game is also very bad. I didn't buy a PS3 and an HDTV to play games that look inferior to ones I was playing on the PS2 years ago.If you buy this game then you're going to have a bad time, unless you're REALLY easily pleased.
