Timeshift takes the first-person shooter to an entirely different dimension marked by erratic time and unrelenting action.

Players take on the role of Colonel Michael Swift, a renowned and recently retired test pilot, who has accepted an offer from the US Government to test out two of the most significant inventions of the century. Armed with a time-control device called the Quantum Suit and a time machine called the Chronomicon, Swift is briefly sent back in time to plant an experimental probe. Upon his return to the present, a major shift has occurred.

The world he left has changed beyond all recognition. And his intimate knowledge of the true time stream has made him an enemy of the state. Swift is both on the run and on a mission to set time straight once again.

Top 100  Reviewer Top 10 Games Reviewer

This game was realised roughly the same time as the orange box and call of duty 4 and was pushed aside to make way for these great first person shooters. The question is was that a good thing or a bad thing?

I've waited for this game to drop in price and picked it up second hand 2 weeks ago for £15 and I must say what a bargain I have stumbled across. I'm having a lot of fun playing through the game stopping time attaching a grenade to a enemy of shooting them in the head a few times then starting time back up to watch them be taking by surprise as they die. It's even more fun if you do it with a group on enemies, or just as they begin to die slow down time again to savor the moment even longer.

I was reading an earlier review slating the graphics let me just say I think you wrong. Sorry like. Don't get me wrong I've seen better but I've also seen a hell of a lot worse and there are some nice backdrops when out in the open.

I haven't played all the way through the game yet so I can't really comment much on the story just that its ....... hmm all over the place at the more due to flash backs of the events leading up to the beginning of the game... Then again this could just be me lol. Anyway I'm sure things will make sense sooner or later.

The only major problem I've had with the game is when it auto saves the game stops/ pause for a few seconds which can be a bit annoying.

If you're a fan of first person shooters then this game is a little gem and for the price it is now you're getting a bargain.

 YUCK

This game is terrible. Online is a cruel joke! Multiplayer just sucks! Single player is interesting for a small fraction of the game. Graphics are not impressive.

If you liked RED FRACTION on PS2 you will probably like this game.

Having had a PS3 since they came out, i find myself constantly dissapointed with the standard of games. If games like Ressistance can have superb graphics and not freeze when the game saves and loads during a mission then why can\t they all? This is very similar to FEAR in my opinion, you either take it as a slight improvement on a PS2 game or a huge let down in terms of what i'd expect from a 'next gen' game.

very run of the mill fps stuff.
