I had very high hopes for this, i imagined it would be the new generation panzer dragoon but it was not to be. The controls are pretty damn awful even with the patch to use the analogue sticks instead of six axis they are bad you just can't lock onto your objectives and end up flying around aimlessly and it gets annoying in a big way. Graphics wise lair is pretty good in parts but the only thing that stood out well in the whole game was the sound the in game music is brilliant and the effects are really good too. But on a whole i think lair is a let down.

after reading some negative reviews about this game on various websites i was still undecided whether or not to purchase 'Lair'. mostly the thing putting me off was about the controls, and how 'bad' they were. well, if you are a 5 year old you may find this game just a little hard. one of the things that make the game so good IS the controls. it makes you feel that you fully have control of what you are doing. the graphics are stunning and in some places, breathtaking. the missions are all different so theres a lot of variation. i wouldn't say they were hard, just challenging and i my eyes this is what a game should be. the plot is pretty good and i was actually just playing the missions to find out what happens. the soundtrack is brilliant and the voice acting is top notch.

all in all, if you want a good solid game that will keep you entertained, them buy 'Lair'. don't bother with reviews and experience it for yourself. 'Lair' has definetly been underrated.

I must say that this was a really good game... that is for gamers. Its not just a nice graphic game like most games coming out nowadays but its actually quite hard at points. you have various goals during a mission and its up to you to choose which to give priority to. you can also go beyond in some missions and actually turn the tide of war in your favour by just going on a killing spree of the enemy troops thus giving you more time to complete your goals.

All in all a very nice game although it took me only 8hrs of continous play to complete it ( i died a couple of times and its not that easy to grasp complete control of your dragon)

I must say though that for the price it was money well spent.
