I love my ps3 but the truth is they can just stop working,Sony are giving me another 60 gb even though its over a year old ! My friend has had the same problem ,so how common is this problem ?over to you Sony

I have had all three models of the system and never had a problem with them. The 60GB ver is the best because it can play all the old games from the ps1 and ps2 and if you take care of them they will work for as long as u wish it to.

It's ok but a bit expsensive with only a few exclusives and mainly has multi platform games no good games till next month onwards but if you can't wait buy this value pack

originally bought it just for the blu-ray player.resistance fall of man got me hooked.just need to wait for more games.six axis contoller is great.blu ray is great.awesome machine and silent compared to x-box 360.buy one now.the 360 has had its day

I own an xbox 360 but decided to get a ps3 from Play at the end of march. In just a few months it has went down £100. I was starting to wish I'd not even bothered. It's largely been sitting gathering dust as there is such a lack of decent games. I've been playing the xbox constantly as it has far more and better games.

Also, my PS3 failed a few weeks ago. Good news is that Sony got a new one to me in a couple of days. Service was good.

In spite of my criticism things are starting to look up; Ratchet and Clank is a solid exclusive game, Lair & Folklore are worth a punt, to name but a few. I think time will tell because a console is only as good as it's games. I've edited my review from 1 star to 3 stars as I felt, given the recent games releases, that my review was harsh.

Tip: Dust your PS3 every couple of days; it is a dust magnet! lol

This maybe classed as a super-console but there's no way to justify the price difference to the Xbox360.

There's few games available and most of those that are, are also available on the Xbox, often at a cheaper price with no difference in the actual game.

Only those who want to make regular use of the console for watching Blu-ray discs on it should be buying this. Otherwise save your money and look at the alternative consoles.

I currently own an Xbox 360, however I have been fortunate enough to play a friend's ps3 regularly, and I have to say it's a fantastic console, and as such will be replacing the x360 as soon as I can. A lot of people are put off by the price, certainly in comparison to other consoles, but, certainly in terms of the 360 you need to take into account additional components. The 360 is cheaper however once you have taken into account buying rechargeable batteries, battery charger, wireless adapter etc, all things that come with the ps3 to start with, the price difference is a lot less than you may think. Don't forget that this is also Blu ray and will be the reason sony will probably win this 'console war'. There simply isn't enough space on standard discs for next gen games. Rockstar games are already reportedly in dispute with Microsoft over GTA 4 due to this. There is a lack of games for the ps3 at this stage, but the ps2 was in the same position when that was released, there are also 300 exclusive games due for release in the next year. Oh yes, and it doesn't sound like a jet engine plonked in your front room.

The Ps3 is a extramly powerfull console we havent nearly seen its full power. Evryone should give the ps3 a chance (Expt those 360 gamers who just say the ps3 is rubbish they probably havent even played one)
Realise wise the ps3 has a broad horizan with games like Heavenly sword,Mgs4, Killzone, Haze, Little big planey and much more i cant name them all of the top of my head

really love the ps3 cant fault it at all as yet great graphics and great game play have always been a ps fan and will continue you to be having a remote controller makes it all the more fun it might be pricey but i rate it more highly than the xbox 360

Right, im going to start by saying that im not gonna get into the Xbox vs playstation war here. MGS4 is going to be a PS3 exclusive when it comes out in early 2008 and thats good enough for me. If your looking at PS3s, the chances are youve already picked your side on the ps3vs360 argument (or are lucky enough to afford both). This bundle from play.com is the best value for money that ive seen with the extra controller and the HDMI cable. Resistance is the best FPS for the PS3, F1 championship edition is a great racer, very realistic and Click is a decent watch and looks amazing in HD.
