Wen the g-con 3 gun gets stuck try recalibrating it and if tht doesnt work then it mite b something 2 do with your tv. The guns dont usualy work with lcd or plasma screens because of the liquid crystal in them the gun jus burns it.try using a gun from one of the old games n if it still doesnt work its ur tv.
This is a great game ive got all of them but i still find number 3 the best
Has any one had problems with the G Con gun

*insert sad smiley here*... how gutted was I when I got this home after having had an internal struggle with myself to spend £70 on it or not to discover that actually it's pretty rubbish!
I took it as a sign when I walked into my local shop and found it for £45 so I bought it and excitedly put it on as soon as I got home.
The first thing I noticed was that the gun felt really cheap... It felt like it must've cost pretty much nothing to make yet in theory is costing us, the gamers, about £20 as that's roughly how much dearer this is than other games on the market which is absolutely obsene for the quality you're getting... although strangely I do love the bright orange colour of it... thats weird I know!
The next thing is the little LEDs that go on top of the telly fell off occassionally... 90% sure I had them sitting properly!
Next are the parts where you need to walk around... what Time Crisis has you walking around? I don't remember any but I might be wrong... however this is not fun... If I'm playing Time Crisis all I wanna do is take cover and pop out and kill some bad guys before ducking away again... these parts are honestly no fun... at all.
Then to my dismay the gun or LEDs weren't working. The crosshair wouldn't come up, when it did it was 'sticking' and it wouldn't recalibrate!
I was getting pretty annoyed but the one redeeming factor on this game is that there are stages where it's proper Time Crisis... 'wait...wait...wait...wait.... FIRE!!!' These bits are fun and I really quite enjoyed them but not enough to pay full price or even the £45 I paid for it... If you want my advice wait til this is in the real bargain bin then grab it cos up till then you'll feel like you've been ripped off in a very big way.
Avoid this for the time being... hang fire till it's maybe £20-£30
briliant...ish

i found this game great for the first couple of stages but it starts getting a bit of the same. The contrast in the FPS and traditional shooting styles is brilliantly hidden and is a great idea. Overall its a good game and i like it allot.
Everyone is asking why the wires? Are they such a bad thing? Does this really affect the game? Well I thought so in fact it put me off the game altogether for a while until I read (mind I don't know if this is true) there was a problem making the gun wireless as the Bluetooth was causing problems what and why I don't know (has anyone else heard this?) . After reading this though (and after running across number 3 in the arcades) I thought what the hell and bought the game pre owed for nearly half the rrp.
The first thing you will notice about the game is the gun, its orange and hard to miss, you'll notice if you left handed you may have some trouble and you will notice all the buttons you have to get used to. The gun is quite light and there is quite sufficient wire to stretch comfortably across your room, although there are a lot of buttons to get used to they are all positioned nice and close with most only a thumb distance away and like most things after a short while it becomes 2nd nature and you will wonder what all the fuss was about. That said though why orange?
The major problem with the gun is it calibration, be prepared to sit in the same spot without moving for the time playing the game. An inch or so in either direction, left, right forward or back will knock your aim to whack. You can access the options and re calibrate the gun in game if this happens but it is very frustrating.
The game itself you have 3 modes:
The classic arcade shooter where the aim of the game is to clear out the enemies on screen within the time limit or you will loose a life, there are two characters to play as each with their own path within the game, 4 weapons to use and they've also tried to keep things interesting and challenging by adding 2-3 way/ multiple screen battles. There are 3 stages to play through and once you have completed a stage you can play through each separately.
The new FPS mode which you use your gun to control your character through various stages as if you were playing a first person shooter such as Call of Duty... just less impressive. This for me was the highlight of the game I could quite happily play more first person shooters like this. This mode also throws the arcade levels in as well.
Then you have the mini games which mainly consist of target practice games trying to shoot as many targets as possible before the time runs out. Once you've completed the game more advanced training missions become available.
The game won't take you long to complete and once you have done so you may loose interest. The FPS mode was for me the best thing about the game I really enjoyed it and would love to see other games done this way. Overall though the game has weak average graphics and poor acting but you expect this in a shooter like this, the gun is the game's biggest fault with or without a wire and is why im giving the game a 3 but although it won't last you long you will still find some fun along the way. Not for everone and not worth full price but if you cant get it for about half the price you getting your moneys worth.
GOOD GAME BUT WHY ARE THERE WIRES?

In this day and age what on earth are they doing making a gun game with a wire.10 years ago yes that would be normal nowdays come on am i the only person that thinks it is stupid to have a cutting edge piece of hardware that costs loads and has bluetooth built in doing with an accessorie with wires? would you put up with it on your wireless router or modem,NO, exactly.Another point who on earth made up the design of a big orange gun? the old g-con 2 looks and feels loads better.
A Classic in the making. Room to improve though!

Time Crisis, with a big orange gun.
If your fortunate enough to have a big tv & plenty of room,
if you have spent hours pumping coins into games like house of the dead in an arcade or if you simply like to try your shooting skills, but can't master Call of Duty 4......
This could be your game.
It's pricey @ £60+,
You get a game that emulates arcade classic shooting style, with decent graphics & good sound quality. It's quite playable in arcade mode & the new "free roaming first person shooter" option takes it to a new level. For those that want to play the missions with a twist to their skill level.
The G-con is comfortable & intuitive, but then I would say that I am right handed. Sadly it's on a lead, which is a real shame as sony have put so much effort into a wireless console & not being used to wires my dog keeps tripping over me while I play.
The game itself isn't too taxing & can be completed with plenty of practise, the question is....... for that price tag will you pick it up in a week or a months time & enjoy a stress relieving moment killing more bad guys? Or will you finish it & leave £60 gathering dust.
10% of the population at least will struggle

this is the best game that i have got in a long time. the wires for the gun is about 6ft long and the sensors are also 6ft long so you have you room to sort it all out. back to the game. this game is gr8 but the only thing that i didnt like is the mission mood but some peple might like. i think its a gr8 game for anyone at any age lol im mum and dad are always on it.
FPS CONTINUES TO EVOLVE - EXCELLENT

I owned the first Time Crisis on PS1 and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I just had to buy this. Ok, the graphics are not the best, but they are still brilliant and any fool can tell that you would need the latest console to play this!
You get 2 types of gameplay with this, the Arcade and Story mode. When playing the Story mode, the new G-Con 3 controller allows you to roam freely which is really impressive. It takes a bit of getting used to but does not take long, and I have had hours of fun!!
Activision should talk to Namco when they start to design COD 5!
