 How do you know?

How do you know what the game is like just by seeing what it looks like. I think if you want to judge the game, you have to play, love it or hate it. Then make the review. Don't just put it down from what it looks like. DON"T JUDGE A GAME BY ITS COVER!!!

For those who think GRiD is better, are you crazy??

You do need to put the effort into this as its not an arcade game like GRiD so you wont be able to pick up and play but spend a few hours getting used to it and you'll see how great this game is. Its way more rewarding and challanging so be prepared to put the hours in.

Dont game me wrong, it doesnt look as good as GT5 (not a lot will for a long time!) or GRiD but it is still very good and racing in the rain is excellent!, it does also have excellent sound effects and this makes quite a big difference IMO.

I have raced online with no lag (as good as SP mode) and great coms, however there is no private rooms but there is in game invites and you can kick people

I would give this 4.5 (but as unable to I have rounded up) so its a 5 for me!

Great Racing Sim

System 3 have also promised downloadable content every mon

THE best PS3 racer... It is that good!

Ok, forget the rest, this is by far the best racer on the PS3. One thing to remember though is that this is first and foremost a SIMULATOR! The car handling is spot on, the car handles better than anything on any other PS3 racer. The one thing I think that puts people off is the difficulty, it can be hard, but you really need to learn the tracks and how to drive the car.

Graphically, the game has it's ups and downs, some of the tracks are just breath-taking, and some are very average, but they all seemed to be modelled very accrutely. The rain effect is the best I have ever seen in a racing game, and it really does effect the way you play.

Sonics on the game are good, some great tunes and some better engine noises, though I wish the engine noises were louder by default. The 5.1 mix is really amazing, and you can tell where all the other cars are around you just by listening to the sound-field.

I think too many people are thinking this is going to be just another arcade game like the cool "Grid" and the awesome "Sega Rally", however, this is much, much more! If you prevail you will encounter a much deeper, fun game than anything else on the PS3.

I've been playing racing games since before the dawn of time (yes... the 70's!) so it really takes alot for a game to impress me these days. This one, once played for a little while, really did impress me, and grows on me day by day!

 TOTALLY Disappointed...

Ooooooooooh Dear... I was expecting BIG things from this Sim / Game... but my smiles turned from great expectations to tears of despair... ... ...
I read the reviews here on Play.com and decided to give this title the benefit of any doubt because I love racing games... put your hand tight over your mouth and blow hard and you get the same noise as this game plays... it's a proper same really becasue this title had sooooooooooo much potential...
Perhaps this is meant to be played with the steering wheel to release its maximum potential but as it stands this game just DOES NOT FEEL finished...
If you really want to drive a game simulated Ferrari then invest in Test Drive Unlimited...

 No way better than grid

| | See all R0LLD33P's reviews (1)

Grid is so much better! Grid is more realistic and has huge variety of cars and race styles! i cant imagine choosing this over Grid all you can do is race ferraris! so your paying the same money as grid for less variety and a shorter game lifespan before you sell it on second hand
