Gioteck EX-01 Bluetooth Headset (PS3)

For a long time now, online gaming on the Ps3 has suffered because of the lack of coms.
With the realese of this headset that is no longer a problem!
Where do i start?
This headset is very comfortable to wear and you can quiet easily forget that you are wearing it!
In the manual that came with this headset it said that you can talk for around about 4 hours before it will require charging, not so my friend and myself both have this headset and we decided to put it to the test, so we had a private chat for...wait for it.........11 hours before it needed recharging.
the sound and mic quality are brilliant compared to anything else i have used with the Ps3, and as i have already mentioned the headset is so light and comfortable it is a pleasure to use.
Buttons on this headset are volume up/down power on/off
and while in use you tap the power button once and the headset will beep to let you know that you have just turned the mute on, yes finaly a headset with a mute button!
All in All this is a must have for anyone who wishes to play online, so thanks Gioteck and thanks Play.com!

I bought this headset after purchasing 2 faulty Mad Catz headsets.
All I can say, is that it feels like a breath of fresh air to have a headset that actually works :).

Positive Points:

- Comfortable Fit
- Easy to pair with the PS3
- Clear, quality sound output/input
- Looks & feels well built

Negative Points:

- Only fits onto the right ear

Conclusion:

If you're looking to spend around £25 on a new heaset, then this is well worth the consideration.

1) Switch on the ps3 and charge the headset using the USB, do this for a couple of hours.
2) On ps3 menu Settings - Accessory Settings - Manage Bluetooth® Devices - Select [Register New Device]. Then switch on your headset - Select [Start Scanning] - after scanning select EX-01.
3) You can change your settings here. Settings - Accessory Settings - Audio Device Settings or Voice Changer.
Keep the headset charging as much possible.

I have read other reviews about ps3 headsets and they have not been good!! i bought this as my cousin has it and reccomended it to me and it is superb!! i play Call Of Duty 4 with it and you get great, clear sound quality. It does not interfere with the controllers unlike other headsets and the battery life is great i charged it for about an hour and used it for 4 hours then switched it off. When i turned it back on it still had battery life. Really good product!!!!

I bought this after trying out a couple of options for headsets. Unlike my Phones Bluetooth this one is built for gaming rather than phone use. It sits easily on your right ear and weighs next to nothing so once you have it on you forget its there.
The controls are easy to use and the mute option has a reminder tone that plays every minute or so to remind you its in mute.
My last one I was always forgetting I had mutted the headset and no one could hear me.

Charges via the PS3's USB and the talk time is about right for a good session and I have not had it run out on me as when I am not using it I make sure I put it on charge.

For the money I can highly recommend this one Its by far better than my Phones headset and a lot more comfortable than the usb one I bought
