Brutal Legend tells the tale of Eddie Riggs, played by Jack Black, who is drawn back through time to a mythical world immersed in rock 'n' roll folklore; where great Metal titans once ruled and power chords rang from the countryside for all to hear. When an oppressed people request Eddie's knowledge of modern warfare, he pulls from his own experience in the only occupation he's ever had, a roadie for a Heavy Metal band. From this springs the most hellacious army man has ever seen, and thus brings this ancient world into the Age of Metal.

Action Combat: Brutal Legend's core gameplay is classic Action. From close quarter blows delivered by The Separator, Eddie's blood soaked broad axe, to ranged combat from your demon-slaying guitar named Clementine, as well as vehicular attacks supplied by your hot rod, The Deuce (aka The Druid Plow), Brutal Legend delivers deep, rewarding, fun combat that will have you throwing your "devil horns" in the air.

A World Like No Other: Inspired by some of the most iconic album art and lyrics of all-time, Brutal Legend features a streaming, open world rich with detail, from mountains made of guitar amps to big block V8 engines rising from the ground, delivering a world truly unique and unlike anything you've seen before.

Titans of Stage and Screen: Lead by Jack Black as the voice of Eddie Riggs, the epic cast of Brutal Legend features vocal talent providing by some of Metal's biggest names, including Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, Lita Ford and more.

Online Multiplayer: Take the Metal madness online in Brutal Legend's Multiplayer Mode that combines action combat with a strategic unit-control mechanic that allows the player to direct their army in The Battle of the Bands, where the ultimate trophy is survival.

Upgrade Your Arsenal: Gain "Lighter Tributes" throughout the world and visit The Motorforge, where you can upgrade The Separator, Clementine and The Deuce to make them even more lethal on the battlefields.

Tim Schafer: Known for creating a level depth and humour in his characters, Tim Schafer is consistently recognised as one of the gaming industry's premier designers and has written such classics as Full Throttle, Grim Fandango and PsychoNauts.

Fully Licensed Soundtrack: Brutal Legend will feature a fully licensed soundtrack that includes some of the greatest Metal and Rock 'n' Roll songs ever assembled.

I'm not a fan of extremly long games. I think that 10 to 12 hours for a single play campaign is sufficient on most games. I hate it when I continue a game just to get it over with to go onto the next one!

This is not what I felt for Brual Legend. If you're a fan of good heavy metal that you can never get bored playing Brutal Legend. This game really got me hooked (and not just for the music).

This is what I expect from a game - just plain FUN.

            Tottaly recommended.

This game has had a lot of hype just before its release, and I won't lie, I was definately one of those people.
And I'm glad to say, I don't regret it.
Brutal Legend is FUN. Key word there.
Its cartoony, its colourful and it is funny!
Now I do feel for a lot of people, this game is a game where you possibly needed to be excited about it before it
came out. If you weren't then chances are, you're just not going to give this a go. And that's a shame.
If there was one thing I could say to those people, it's rent it.
The game has a LOT to do in it. Lots of things to find. There are upgrades, no big surprise. They seem to be
all the rage at the moment.
The combat is simple, doesn't feel bad. They have an overlord system in there, which is by no means a bad thing.
It brings some variety to combat, although at points, they don't seem to follow orders to the tee. But hey,
rockers are rebels. And they don't rebel too much. So it's only a minor complaint.
The "Deuce" is a nice hot rod that Mr. Eddie Riggs drives around in. Its not mandatory that you use it to get around in,
but it sure as hell is handy. And when you start upgrading it, you wont want to deny Eddie it ever again.
For those of you who like to grow your hair real long and swing it back and forth until your head turns a nice
shade of red. This game is definately worth a try. Lots of good metal tracks are on there, with a few well known
faces popping up now and again.
And for those of you who are more inclined to get a haircut more regularly, still, give this a go.

             Brütal Deadline?

Two major problems with this game:
            1. Main storyline is way too short
            2. No variety in side missions

This makes me think that the developers ran out of time. It's a shame since they certainly had all the pieces for making a wonderful game.

Brütal Legend is not bad. If you are a gamer who happens to love heavy metal, it's safe to buy this. The soundtrack alone is almost worth the money. And the open world is stunningly beautiful and immersive (despite the simplistic graphics in general). However, this game if any should have been accompanied by an epic storyline - and I mean EPIC!

            + Game world / creatures
            + Atmosphere / music
            + Story itself / legend
            - Very short, yet repetitive
            - Slightly outdated graphics engine / some frame stuttering
            - Some "what am I supposed to do" -moments
            - Controls are not 100% smooth (but not bad either)

A little short, though really enjoyable

Although the main storyline was a little short, I really enjoyed this game. The game play can get a little repetitive, but the storyline kept me intrigued, and the Voice acting (esp. Jack Black) made the game.

             So Good, SO FUNNY!
