this controller is great, the finish is matte and easy to grip a lot better than the controller included with the PS3 its a lot more comfortable than XBOX 360 controllers BUT it does not come with a USB charging wire STILL a great controller, though pricey its worth the extra money dont go for the cheap third party ones they will let you down GO FOR THIS CONTROLLER

Yeh its really good, good weight, smooth and black, has buttons, has all you could need from a controller. Looks better than the fisher price sexbox controllers, without the need of b84rz. Buy some.

  THE ICONIC CONTROLLER!

Sony's controller with bluetooth and dualshock makes it very hard to beaten! Sony please do not change the design - if it ain't broke don't fix it! controller lasts a good time from a full charge! price is good as you would buy a disc with a game on it for 40. Plus dualshock controllers have always been around this price so thesedays your getting value for your money.

by far the best controller design in the history of gaming, and it hasnt changed since ps1. fits like a glove, all buttons accessible, and quality has never been better. its pretty pricey, but thats sony for you. you will not be disappointed.

  Not a fan

I think the PS3 is brilliant. I can't say the same for it's controller. (I'm aware of the army of PS fans that identify with this format going back to their childhood, but seriously, new users don't feel the same way)

It's too small, battery doesn't last that long, and your fingers slip off of the convex analogue sticks, and the convex trigger buttons. There also isn't much range on the trigger buttons.

You can buy clip on bits to change the trigger and analogue sticks, but that pushes the price up to over 40quid.

A small amount of redesign will make this a better controller.

Sony needs to think about price

This outstanding controller is simple to use and has the same model shape and feel since Playstation was born. BUT the price has been 35quid for a long time, you can get a decent game for that price. Lets hope it goes down in 2010

  The one and only

Sony have used this same design since the beggining and as always its proven to be the best no doubt about that im happy they've kept the design, it's comfortable to hold the buttons are all nicely laid out, certainly not as chunky and ugly as an xbox controller. The only changes are the L2 and R2 buttons have be redesigned like triggers and instead of an utterly pointless analouge button like on the old playstations, there's an extremly useful power button alowing you to switch the ps3 on and off, plus allowing you to access the main playstation menu even while in the middle of a game, handy stuff indeed.

  Brilliant but...

| | See all ShadzE16's reviews (13)

Of course the official PS3 pad is the best pad for any game however games that require the use of R2 & L2 such as WWE games can really mess up this pad.

There is only one downside to this great pad and that is it is not that greatly built. Analogues do tend to come off and R2 & L2 become loose. So for games that initiate you to press buttons hard, stick to a much cheaper pad like MadCatz...

  best pad ever

only sony can make the perfect pad for the ps3, this pad is miles better then the other cheaper ones like madkatz, if you need a pad you buy this one!

  Great bit of kit

This controller is fabulous and has some cracking features. Due to the bluetooth connectivity, it has a great range on it. I have managed to use it from one side of the house to another, huge compared to that of my xbox!! The sixaxis is also included well into some games suge as little big planet, only thing is because of this is the high price for the damn thing. All in all thoug it is worth every penny.
