Set in a battle-scarred future where war has become business carried out by mercenaries and machines, this visually stunning title sets new boundaries for gameplay and cinematic experiences in videogaming. The refined control system allows for some of the coolest gameplay ever seen as players guide Snake through to the end of his worn torn journey and tie up loose plot ends.
Additions to Metal Gear Solid 4 include rumble support for the new DualShock 3 controller, full 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound support and more interactivity during the cutscenes such as allowing users to change angles and summon flashbacks.
The final part of this must have title comes in the form of Metal Gear Online, included with MGS4. Initially compromising of five unique online stages created using Guns of the Patriots technology, Metal Gear Online allows up to 16 people to play simultaneously in five different modes ranging from standard Deathmatch to Team Deathmatch, Capture and Sneaking missions. Further Expansion Packs will be released ensuring the content is fresh and rewarding for the players.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has done the impossible: Created perfection. Technical flaws are insanely hard to find, it is incredibly polished, and the gameplay surprises are unforeseen and immersive. You owe it to yourself to buy this game. The amount of hard work spent. The blood, sweat, and tears, is entirely evident with the breathtaking quality in this game. Get your hands on it whenever you see it, and when you play it, never let the precious moment pass you by. A truly unforgettable and unrivalled experience: Hideo Kojima, I give my salute to you as the creator of one of the greatest games ever made. With this - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will last in our memories forever.

this is why i got a ps3 , the wait is finaly over , this mgs is a instant classic , the graphics , story lines and game play are brilliant well worth the long wait. plus i would also like to thank play.com for the limited edtion of mgs4 i bought from yourselfs , its mint , the sanke figure is really worth it aswell plus all the xtra features on the blu-ray dvd. so glad i got my collectors edtion as there are like gold dust on the website , cheers play.com , bring on more limited edtions/ collectors edtion on console games in the future , thanks .bye for now.
The most mindblowing game in the series, the scope of the store is amazing, the soundtrack is awsome. a definate must have if you own a ps3. *****
If you didn't have a reason to buy a PS3 before.. now you have! Snakes final chapter in the Metal Gear series. With cinematic and dramatics to compete with top films, Metal Gear Solid 4, is surely the must have game of the year (If not for many years).
A lot of new elements has been added, for example OctoCam, a new camouflage that will blend you instantly to any wall/floor surface. Also added, the rusty barrel, this is fun. Get in roll and knock down your enemies, don't roll to fast though as Snake will get out and throw up!
Online is solid and addictive!
Overall a must have for any Metal Gear Solid // Action games fan.
