Though slightly flawed on PS3 (This does not ruin the game!)...This probably the finest action titles to come to consoles. GOW fighting might have been great (Though Ninja Gaiden should get more credit!); Baynetta simply pounds GOW with depth, style, chain combos, special moves, speed, and character charm...Violent colourful action with great (the best so-far) fighting mechanics that flow effortlessly with grace (once learned - hghly recommended playing higher difficulty levels).
So not judge this game on the demo - this is just the basic beginner introduction level. The battles in full game will blow you away!
This game is good, marginally excellent..yet there are those nagging flaws that draw it back slightly. As mentioned before there are major loading time issues, even pressing the start button brings up a loading screen and i often press start instead of select to bring up items etc and have to wait through two loading screens, it really reduces the flow of the action. Other than that its brilliantly cheesy attitude is hilarious and will always bring in a cheap laugh, the mixture between gothic violence and slapstick comedy works well. The one big glaring problem for me; which may not relate to others, is that this game makes me feel like ive never played a game or at least been good at one before. The standards set for you to get a good grade at the end of a level are faaar too steep and the constant flow of 'stone awards' are very disheartening. But maybe im just rubbish at it. All in all buy it now, or at least wait a bit for it to lose a couple pounds (not too long though as GOW is on its way and you dont want to start comparing the two....) x
This game is out of this world :D
Yes it has its flaws but what game hasnt
The battles are very fast paced and the degree of dificulty offered is amazing its not just a game for Hardcore players it caters for everyobody.
and the veiw is always pleasant. Your constantly bombarded with vivid colours and many a enemy to slap about.
The Only flaw i can see is a slight ( and i mean very small amount) lagging on the ps3 version but nothing that causes any problems
All in all A must buy
The few reviews i read of this game praised it to high heaven, One even gave it 10/10- so i just had to check it out. So, I downloaded the Japanese demo...and I played it to death.
I can honestly say that it's the best game of it's genre i have played since the original Devil May Cry and God of War 2. And yes, it's better than DMC3 and 4, and even the Ninja Gaiden games.
I know it may "look" like you have seen it all before- but just play it, and then you will realise how amazing it is. Super smooth and super tight control is an absoloute joy to behold, the combat is exhilariting, the combos are plenty and it's just crazy as hell as you pull off so many wild and mental moves- and playing as a witch who has guns strapped to her feet as well as magic spells at her use is like nothing you have ever seen. I can't reccomend it highly enough- if you like these kind of games then this is amongst the best. Ever.
And that's just the demo thoughts.
Downloaded the ps3 demo of Bayonetta considering the raving reviews its recently got from magazines like Edge and Fatsimu. Was already expecting it to be on the lines of devil may cry series, i must say this game takes hardcore action games to another level. Within a few moments of the game you already in combat with multiple opponents and you face up against a demon thats 10 times as big. What i like about this game is the number of combos and variation of attacks you can use ( especially the torture attacks ) and also the ability to summon your own demon to finish of the big bosses which is a cool feature.
The game itself is fast pace and also uses quicktime on certain parts of the game. If you own a ps3 or xbox360 then i certainly recommend downloading the demo then have it on your xmas wishlist ......even though its out on the 8th january. Also a certain must for those who like the devil may cry series but were disappointed with DMC4 like myself......Bayonetta will justify this!
