The basic premise of PAIN is simple: cause as much chaos in as short a time as possible by launching an array of human cannon fodder from a giant slingshot. The more painful the landing, the bigger the score. Of course, that's not all - there are all sorts of variations to play - such as "Fun With Explosives," where you have to detonate as many explosive targets as possible, "Fortress," where you fling everything to hand in order to knock down an opponent's castle, and "Darts," where you'll aim your characters head-first at a giant, sticky dartboard. There's also online multiplayer - where you get to compete against others across PlayStation Network.

Of course, PAIN wouldn't be PAIN without the assortment of oddballs, losers, warped geniuses and occasional celebrities who'll be lining up to step into the catapult. Take your pick from an array of misfits including latex-gloved nurse Ginger, one-legged pirate Scurv Dogg or his ninja nemesis Hung Lo, angry punk Nigel, Elvis-impersonating sumo Ao No Kutsu, innocent-looking but evil schoolgirl Yeoni - or fiery Mexican wrestler El Chilie Grande.

 PAINfully bad

This is a novelty game, and 20 minute gimmick, maybe 40 if you've really not got anything better to do. There are a few challanges and plenty of characters/levels to waste your money on, but no matter the level, challenge or character, you're basically flinging someone from a giant catapult and watching it hit things. I bought this game impusively without looking into what it's all about, so please learn from my mistake and take this review onboard. Trust me, spend your money on a blu-ray movie or put it towards a different PS3 game.

I have had this game for a while of the PSN, and it is so much fun and so funny. one of the best PSN games. easy to get to grips with and with a whole host of crazy charactors to fire into building and other things. included the legend that is THE HOFF. and there is loads of downloadable content for it as welll. with new charactors and envioments too. trust this is worth getting there never a dull moment in pain. you laugh so hard. just buy it.

a grooooooovy game.

Ok, this a very basic game, but if you go for the trophies it's one of the toughest. This is one of the funnest, funniest multiplayer games I've ever owned. Get some friends round, and fire these freaks around.

 Cool Game

Great game, a little boring after a while, but really funny to start with.
Not sure if i did wrong, but one of the characters included as bonus refuse to work properly; must investigate further.
Anyway, lots of content included, meaning saves on the store ;-)
