  Heavenly game

I thought id give this game a go as i picked it up cheap and i was really supprised how good it is. Even though it can be tedious at certain parts i never got bored, which is unusual for me. The characters are really well acted and the graphics are good for an older game. Andy Serkis' involvement shines through. This has made me want to play his latest game.

  An Underrated Game!

Just got this game and let me tell you, it feels like you are part of a movie when playing it. Graphics are fantastic, storyline is out of this world and gameplay very original.
Controlling the various weapons with aftertouch can be somtimes annoying however once you get the hang of it, you will enjoy it !!

  Quality little game.

  Goddess of War

Heavenly Sword plays wonderfully. At the time of its release there graphics were unprecedented and with gameplay that can only be compared with the incredible God of War series it's definately a great gaming experience. Worth instant mention is how incredible the voice acting and dramatic direction is in this game. I've never seen anything like it in any other game, so that's definately an area where this game shines the most. However, once you've completed it once there isn't really much incentive to play again. You can unlock more combos, artwork and making of videos and you can try your luck again in Hell Mode, but after that there isn't much else to see. Even if they only implemented trophies it would give this game at least some replay value, but I'm afraid that's where it falls short. At a budget price though, it's definately worth a look, if only to see how incredible the acting is!

  Good but needs more

Well as others have said the graphics are great. The bad part is that it's just mashing the buttons all the way through with the main character. There was no realy control you just bash the buttons until the enemy dies.

And for me the best part of the game was when you play the secondary character, and when you use the cannons, as you are able to guide the arrows and cannons to the ther targets, which was kindda fun.

The sequel was axed and I can see why, good graphics with average gameplay doesnt sell well, and making it short doesnt help. A hardcore gamer can finish this in less than a day, i've played it for 2 days and am already on the final boss...

A good game to play when you're tierd of your other games

  Heavenly Bored

It's one of those games you play a pair of times and you get bored of doing the same all the time. Good graphics but a game is much more than that. Nahhhh!

great game but too short with hardly anything extra to do!

  Awesome Graphics

Heavenly Sword was the first game I ever played on the PS3. I played it on a Sony 42" HDTV and was literally blown away by the graphics. Every detail was visible, no blurring with far off images. The characted motion was so fluid it was like controlling a real person. I have to admit that I loved this game, it was button mashing combo action at it's best. The cut scenes where graphic and detailed. I had some problems with the controlling the arrows and cannons, making me feel that perhaps Sony need to follow more in Nintendo's footsteps with a more innovative controller. But overlooking this small part of the game, the fluid control and movement of the characters was a real eye opener of the power inside the PS3. The reason I am not giving this game a 5 is due to the length of the gameplay. Baring in mind that on realease this game cost between £39.99 and £44.99.
