I bought this game after reading all these great reviews on this sight.... and i have have to say i wasted my money. The people/lionmen are so hard to kill i have to miles out the way to avoid them, the aiming for the bow and the magic is terrible as are the graphics, all in all a great dissapiontment that i dont advise anyone to buy.

  Great Game

I've had this game for over a year, but i still go back to it frequently.
I'ts a huge game, and the graphics are good, but it does have it's bad points:
For me, the archery doesn't quite cut it, because unless you are a very high level in it, it doesn't do enough damage to justify as your primary weapon, which is a shame.
In the battles, there aren't enough soldiers/monsters to make it epic enough.
After you've completed about half the story(which s very good), oblivion gates start popping up everywhere, which can be annoying if you want to just explore the countryside.
despite these points, it is one of my favourite games, and i hope to see a sequel soon

  Best RPG ever!

If you are looking for a very long, very entertaining and very clever game, this is it!

1) The main story line is very good, you travel all around the very large map finding clues, weapons, people and slaying mythical creatures, (think World of warcraft but with better graphics and less repetitive missions, or Fable but with a bit more grown up story line)

2)There are hundreds of side missions, these can be played at any time during the game, these can be found by talking to people and by joining one or more of the guilds (I recommend joining either the assassins guild or the mages guild first as I found these missions to be the most entertaining).

As well as all of the missions just exploring the map is entertaining because you have no idea what you are going to find around the next corner.

3)Each character you talk to has there own individually personality and traits, each fight is different, each weapon and spell is different and cause different effects on the unlucky person or creature that happen to be in you way.

If you like Fallout 3, you will love this; what it lacks in guns and explosions it makes up for in a truly involving gaming environment, you will not be able to put this game down for weeks, I have had this game for about two years now and I am still discovering new map locations and missions, the game really does go on for ever, unlike the rather annoying ending to Fallout 3!!!

  Never ending gaming!

I got my PS3 2 months ago now and this is still the only game I've played on it! There's just so much to do. And if you don't fancy doing a quest you can just wander off and do some random thievery or goblin bashing...
It's not perfect - for example there seem to be very few voices for the number of characters in the game - but I can live with that.

  Well Worth It...

This is a brilliant game - very similar to fallout 3 [also made by Bethesda] however with a more in-depth storyline. The only concern I have relating to this game is that while Knights of the Nine and The Shivering Isles [both good pieces of DLC] come with this copy, some other Downloadable Content such as Horse Armour and Spell Books are not available to download from Playstation store, and I have tried desperately to find it but can't. All in all, this is a fantastic deal for a game that it would take literally ages to fully complete and that never gets boring. A must-buy.

  best ps3 rpg ever

  Best RPG so far.

If you're looking for an RPG where you can explore from one end of the world to the other, snowy mountains, troll infested caves, forts, vampire caverns to black marshes to giant cities as well as over 100 quests to keep you busy in between, this is for you.

The main storyline will keep you occupied for many many hours, as it is brilliantly written and greatly challenging, if you get bored of the story you can join one of the many guilds available like the fighters guild, thieves guild, dark brotherhood, the arena or the mages guild. Also there are many other random quests as well as these so you always have something to do!
There is a huge amount of choice within the game starting from the beginning you choose your race/class and features and there are so many I spent nearly an hour trying to figure out what I wanted to be.
Overall this is an amazing game, any RPG lover needs to buy this!

  Seriously immersive gameplay

This is by far the best RPG available on the PS3 and the best i've ever played on any format. It's so completely immersive and open that you can play for weeks, perhaps months on end without even playing the main storyline as the world is so huge and there is so much else to do. Could lead to relationship problems as the game is so good!
One thing, another reviewer mentioned a glitch regarding getting a cure after becoming a vampire, as the lady that makes your cure won't accept one of the ingredients (Bloodgrass). To solve this glitch, save your game then go to the PS3 System settings, change the language to German (Deutsch), load the disc again, load your game and for some reason the lady will accept the ingredient (Blutgrass) this time. Save your game, go back to change the PS3 system language settings to English - your game is not ruined and you'll have a cure for vampirism.
Other than this glitch, the game is absolutely perfect. Enjoy!
