Oblivio is one of the most complete RPG's ever, the sheer scale and details that has been put in is staggering, must buy!

  The Greatest Game ever made.

God himself made this Game.
This was my first game for PS3, i got it about a month before GTAIV came out and i knew before even playing GTA it could not touch this epic game. Therefore i have only completed 15% of GTA and cant play it anymore, just cant help comparing the two and being disappointed.
If you want it to this game can take over your life!

  Brilliant . . . but a bit simple

If any game is worth the price of the PS3 oblivion is it. Hundreds of hours worth of gameplay and a bargain at only 15 quid. A must have for all rpg fans although i personally preferred morrowwind as it was much more challenging whereas with oblivion you can generally speed through the entire game.

  Great game! - Missing parts?

Don't get me wrong, along with Knights of the old Republic, Oblivion is one of the best RPGs to date. The only grumble that I ould have is that the playstation 3 version has a number of semi-important features missing which the PC and X-box 360 versions don't. These include various items anmd locations. For instance 'Vile Lair', 'The wizards Tower', and the 'Orrery' just don't show up on the PS3 version. Being a loyal Playstation fan I felt quite let down..........................

The Best PS3 Game So Far

This is without a doubt the best game I have ever played. It is worth the full price but at platinum price it is a must have for every PS3 owner. I have been playing for 150 hours and still have plenty to do. Give it a try and you'll probabely fall in love with it like I have!!!!!

Game of the YEar addition - Full of bugs

| | See all Draco1's reviews (1)

The game is quite amazing and could happily keep you happy for many hours if not for a major bug. I played this game for over 40 hours and due to the great game play could forgive the minor bugs. However after I became a vampire I proceeded on the cure quest. After many days on the quest I was amazed that a bug in the Game of the Year edition stops you from completing this task. After some research I found that this bug had been around since the GOTY edition was release and although a patch is available, the manufacturer will not release it. It now seems that although Bethesda continue to sell the game, they have decided not to support the game in favour of concentrating on new titles. If you query this issue with Bethesda you will be told that they have no future plans to release an update and may even be asked to restart the game.I think their attitude to custumers is unforgivable.

One of the best RPGs of all time is now even greater on PS3. Included on this game disc are the original PC game and the contents from both subsequent PC data discs - the Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles, making this one awesome package. The result? A massive original game enhanced by loads more quests, monsters, items and areas; in short, a MUST HAVE for any RPG fan!

The ability to play any type of character you like and go about things your own way and in your own time is one of the biggest bonuses of this free-roaming, massive game. Do what you want, when you want. Complete quests as and when you wish, slay what needs to be slain, and admire the lush scenery. It is totally up to you what you do and when you do it - you can even ignore the main quest if you wish and just concentrate on the little ones, or even on simply improving your character, walking the earth (like in Kung-Fu!), slaying every single Orc you can find, or delving into dungeons in search of treasure.

The visuals are awesome, the sound wonderful and the gameplay superb - I really cannot recommend this game enough. If Role Playing Games are your barrel of beer, then this is the game for you, and will make the purchase of a Playstation 3 more than worth the asking price on its own, especially now there is even more do to in the land of Cyrodiil. Just be prepared to put your life on hold for months and months as you play this game instead...

At this price, for such a fantastic package, you simply cannot go wrong! A more than worthy addition to the Platinum range.
