Im a bit confused about the reviews here

Some people seem to be expecting a gears of war shooter, and others a resident evil game.

The game is nothing like either to be honest.

The basis of the game is that a tv crew and a high school student arrive at a japanese mountain village, in time to see a sacrifice and the village going to hell. "Shibito" or "living dead" are walking the place killing the living, and spreading their kind. These people are quite strange and often have dual voices.

In terms of gameplay, you are trying to achieve various goals, whilst avoiding or taking out the shibito. There is a large array of weapons, from guns, to garden shovels.

You can "sight jack" the shibito which helps in avoiding them, you see what they can split screen.

This is a good survival horror, and is split into episodes to help pace the game. Each ends with a "next time" video, and begins with a "last time" one.

I think the bad reviews come from people not knowing what theyre buying, siren is a strange japanese horror game and is quite unique in the way it plays.

Also they graphics and sound are great, its a dark game but you can always see where youre going.

If you arent expecting gears of war style controls or the puzzle gameplay of the old resident evils, you wont be dissapointed, its a good game.

I've just finished this game and i have to say i loved it all. Ok so the controls are a little off and the game is quite dark but that just adds to the whole atmosphere in my opinion.
To be people that say the game is confusing: Welcome to the world of Siren!!! If you've ever played Forbidden Siren & Forbidden Siren 2 then you'll feel right at home.
The fact that it's played via episodes is great. You get a recap of the last episode at the start of each new episode and a preview of the next episode at the end of an episode!
The game is like playing a Japanese Horror Movie, dark, confusing, atmospheric and totally creepy!
Some people say that the graphics are poor, have you played the same game?
I gave the game four stars, had it been longer it would've got 5.
Anyway for £18 i suggest you buy buy buy. It'll keep you occupied until the arrival of Silent Hill V: Homecoming.
