Official Sony PS3 Wireless Keypad

Its a well-made little add-on.
Its so small as well, but it doesn't mean it feels cheap.

The buttons are nice, a tad too small, I find myself typing with my fingernails. The touchpad feature is pretty cool but I'm used to a mouse other than say, a laptop touch-pad, so I find it a little tricky to use, other than that its pretty cool.
Rather than using typical Tab button for capital letters, you use the pad's shoulder buttons, which suits the pad nicely, seeing as it was built for a console control.
The little hot keys on it are useful as they take you straight to your friends list or straight to a blank message box, ready for you to type and then send.

The PS3 already has the keypad's software built in, the second you link it up with your system (just by plugging it in with a USB cable) it instantly works, even some of the keyboards icons appear on the PS3.

If your controller has a cover over it like mine (a rubber protective skin) then you'd think it would have trouble fitting on, but it doesn't due to the little sping-loaded hook that grasps on to the back of the controller.
The only downside to placing it over a protective skin is that you can't use the Start, Select or PS button, but if you don't have a protective skin, then you won't encounter this problem at all.

Overall, its nicely made, its a great add-on and its alot better than having to use a wired USB keyboard.

For £18, I recommend it. 8D

Well i think the title says it all, outstanding. I dont know how i coped without this keypad. I love goin on the internet and surfing the net on my 55inch tv and this thing makes it soooooo much easyier plus with the playstation 3 home aproaching....u must buy1. :)

As i just got in the home beta i really was getting annoyed but with this is makes it so east the pad is light and just big enough for most people (excluding those with big hands) the mouse part is a little over sensitive but over all very good. Love the direct buttons to your xmb friends list and messages. Overall a very good thing and very well made by sony

Btw has its own miniusb charging port so no controller battery sharing that many feared

Just got mine and it fits perfect on the PS3 controller and looks very slick :) I haven't got massive fingers but they are still too big for such small keys but like I said you just need to get used to it.
You have to charge it up first but it took me a while to find the on/off switch to get it to come on :P
It has a touch pad which you can have on/off, easy access to your friends and e-mail list! Not sure weather I'll get used to the touch pad though but its still a good feature
But overall this will come in very good handy for when I'm online ect, makes life so much easier!

doesn't interfere with the 4 trigger buttons & can play modern warfare with it attached & hardly notice it
