Is perhaps what the developer (UK based Criterion) would say if you asked them. If you want, it can be a racing game, but if like me you have no interest in racing you can happily ignore those activities and chose something else. Stunt Run for example.
Stunt Run is a mode where a timer is set and each player (up to 8 online) attempts to rack up the highest score by performing lunatic barrel rolls, flips, skids & all manner of stunts. Not in for that? How about Marked Man?
Marked Man has you attempting to reach a point on the map while several other cars do their best to smash you off the road. Take any route you want! Found a set of rooftops? Use those!
And as you might imagine "much more" is in there for you. The game is tremendous fun off-line and as much fun online with dozens of challenges to be beaten by as many players as you have in your game.
Burnout Paradise is a lot of things, and as long as you enjoy fast driving and insane smashes, you will find something in this game to love. Remember, it is not just a racing game!
