An incredible leap forward for the Resident Evil series. Resident Evil 4 was another outstanding game and it looked like that would be very hard to reproduce, but Capcom have done an amazing job with Resident Evil 5.

The game itself is fantastic with a gripping story but it really comes to life in the Mercenaries Mode, especially now with the new down-loadable content. I've been playing the Mercenaries Mode of Resident Evil 5 for over a year now and it still doesn't get boring.

9.7/10

I was shocked to see the difference between this and the previous installment when I first played it. Resident Evil 4 is way scarier than Resi 5, but I'm not complaining. The main story is well thought through and there is a variety of locations; even though the trailer and posters all feature the kijuju town setting, that's not where you spend the majority of the game. The extra content you can unlock as well as the downloadable content make this a game that can be played over and over. Overall, a great game, with beautiful graphics, gameplay and a captivating storyline. I recommend this for any Resi fans and people who enjoyed Resi 4 :)
